JustiaGate: CEO Tim Stanley Claims Innocense After Blocking Access To Wayback Machine Snapshots Of All Supreme Court Cases Published By Justia.
+++++++++++++
Warning what you are about to read is epic. You were warned! ~D
+++++++++++++
Yesterday, in a stunning development, Justia CEO Tim Stanley blocked Wayback Machine access to all US Supreme Court cases published by Justia.com. This is the epitome the textbook definition even of hypocrisy. As Dianna Cotter previously reported:
Justia founder Tim Stanley has for years prided himself and his companies on principles of freedom of information. On June 19th, 2008, Stanley addressed the Legislative Council Committee at the Oregon State Legislature with the following
In the end, we both recognize the importance of providing the public with online access to our nations laws because such actions promote understanding, participation in and respect for our democratic institutions and legal system.
Furthermore, commenting on a legal dispute Justia had with the State of Oregon, Stanley stated:
We agree that public policy demands that state laws remain in the public domain. To otherwise permit the State of Oregon or any other governmental body to restrict access to the laws that govern all of us would make a mockery of the legal doctrine that all persons have presumed knowledge of the law.
Does Tim Stanley believe that his publication of Supreme Court cases should be held to the same open standard? Not so much.

Ping.
Epic ping for that matter. New Donofrio posting! Oh and my is this one going to leave a mark. Ohhhhh mama.
Who is Weazie?
Cliffnotes? haha. Too tired to read and epic sounds important :).
Errrrr..... the female head of a two headed dragon on the cartoon Dragon tails?
What do I win?
Donofrio took apart the actions of Justia, and it’s CEO into its component parts and obliterated it. He describes in detail the information he gathered. He then tells the reader what it means. Then he takes apart the explanation that Tim Stanley stated yesterday at cnet, then obliterates that and tells the reader what it means.
Brilliant.
I have to go to bed now because I am just that beat. READ THIS IN DETAIL THOUGH. I have never ever seen such a throwdown on the internet. Seriously, this is epic.

Thanks, Danae.
My pleasure. Enjoy this one!!!
What he was doing was removing hyperlinks and case citations from 25 presidential eligibility cases.
So that if someone were to come on any of those 25 recent cases (all concerning Obama, natch), they would not come across the (now removed), citations to older cases.
Older cases that happen to state that the definition of natural born citizenship requires 2 American born parents and being born on American soil.
I guess this Donofrio chump has trouble spelling “innocense”.
Sort of casts doubt on the whole mess really.
Donofrio also ignores the point that others have made, that there were plenty of errors in other cases, having nothing to do with Minor and nothing to do with Presidential eligibility.
How on Earth can someone REMOVE pages from the Wayback Machine? That should be a sacrosanct archive - unalterable forever.
They don't view themselves that way:
"The Internet Archive is not interested in offering access to Web sites or other Internet documents whose authors do not want their materials in the collection. To remove your site from the Wayback Machine, place a robots.txt xfile at the top level of your site (e.g. www.yourdomain.com/robots.txt) and then submit your site below." (link)
I find it odd that the error concerned that particular bunch of court cases. The GOP has historically not fought the dirty tricks of our enemies and we are all paying for that shortcoming. On the surface it would appear that our side simply cannot believe that our enemies are capable of the many machinations that they have used on their road to a global totalitarian state. That is a very serious error.
Fixed it.
waaay too complex for most Americans to grasp.
Commies are in charge, do we expect anything different?
What, pray tell is anybody willing to do about it?
That puzzled me, too. I thought it might be a cousin to frankincense and myrrh.
