Besides rabid muzzies taking over there, plus the flood of ex-Libyan weapons spreading all over the world, and the atrocities being committed against the losing side, good luck ever getting a 3rd-world country to give up on nuclear weapons.
A national government's first duty is to the safety and security of the nation and its people - Iran, North Korea and any other weak nation will use what we did to Libya as justification to develop or increase their only possible deterrent to the threat from the US/NATO, and I for one don't blame them in the least.

Well put and 100% spot on - Why this (assassination) and why now? Gaddafi was never to be trusted, but he did give up his WMDs and we were treating him like any other fine “ally” in the WOT. It all stinks to high heaven —my own Govt. is trying to bring similar chaos right here to the USA. All a pretense to bring on Marshall law before the 2012 election.
