Herman Cain has been able to raise $2 million in 2 weeks!

If true, this is great news and shows he is capable of staying competitive in the money race.

Romney might be the nicest guy in the world - I really don’t know. But I know how he makes me feel. He feels like a used car salesman. There is some kind of beneath the surface sleaziness that just feels wrong. It is pure instinct but I do not want him to be the candidate.

I was going for Cain until his comment on the electric fence. He lost my vote. He can no longer claim to be pro life, can he?

Hmm in 1993 Cain was one of the leaders fighting ClintonCare.

What was Rick Perry doing in 1993?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rick_Perry#Early_political_career

In 1993, Perry, while serving as Texas agriculture commissioner, expressed support for the Clinton health care reform proposal, describing it as “most commendable.” The health care plan was ultimately unsuccessful due to Republican congressional opposition.[23][24][25][26][27] In 2005, after being questioned on the issue by a potential opponent in the Republican governor primary, Perry said that he expressed his support only in order to get Clinton to pay more attention to rural health care.[28]

and recent attacks by the liberal media have damaged his candidacy. Him = Perry

I disagree that the media had much to do w/Perry's freefall. Conservatives don't listen to the media. Perry's undoing was Perry's alone. In other times, we might have been more patient, but this guy didn't even try to get his act together. Debate after debate, he never improved his performance. Used the same old tired lines when he knew the same old tired questions were coming his way. I'm still disgusted that he didn't have his plan ready for the last debate. I wouldn't put up with my 6th grader pulling that. Get your report done without excuses. I certainly don't want a president like that. (btw, I'm not an anti-Perry bot or anything. I was a supporter, but he lost me time & time again. He never even tried).

Here's his bio:

Masters degree in computer science.
Mathematician for the Navy, where he worked on missile ballistics (making him a rocket scientist)
Computer System analyst for Coca Cola, VP of Corporate Data Systems and services for Pillsbury.
All achieved before the age of 35.
Business manager of Pillsbury taking charge of Burger King restaurants in the Philadelphia area, the company's poorest performers in the country
Spent the first nine months learning the business and making the burger and fries and even cleaning the toilets or in other words, doing what needed to be done.
He turns those stores into top performers.
Pillsbury asked him to take charge of their Godfather's pizza franchise which was near bankruptcy and turned that into a profitable company in 14 months.
in 1988 he bought the Godfather's pizza chain and made it his own
He was chairman of the National Restaurant Association which interacted with the government in order to give his political expertise dealing with politics from the nonpolitical side. Having conquered another industry he changed careers.
Herman Cain went to work at the FED as an adviser on how monetary policies would affect American businesses,
Chairman of the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank. This allowed him to learn the internal workings and know how monetary policy helped or hurt businesses.
He's a writer, public speaker, and had his own radio show.
He did this all on his own with no help from GOVERNMENT
Quite a man!
We need this kind of man running our government.
Yes we Cain!

Herman Cain is where he is in the race precisely because he is an honest NON-politician; an American with a record of success in all he undertakes. Read “This is Herman Cain” and people will understand why he wins most of the straw polls. His integrity shines through like a laser beam!

It isn’t about him, it’s about his country! Herman Cain is the one the Left most fears because he doesn’t rely on rhetoric or platitudes. He isn’t afraid to say it the way it is! Herman Cain is not looking to gain personal power for himself. Herman Cain has good solutions in his toolbox to repair the damage done in the past 23 years. Why? To make America a strong and prosperous nation again.

Herman Cain is an able leader.

Cain is both the Anti-Romney and the Anti-Perry.

If say...Jan Brewer were two jump in it could be a two horse race on the conservative side. As things are, he is the only choice.
