Herman Cain, the former CEO of Godfather's Pizza, is on the rise in the 2012 Republican presidential field. We shouldn't pay attention to the polls just yet, but most of them show Cain ahead of or close to Mitt Romney. Is Herman Cain the anti-Romney candidate that we have been looking for? He might be. Herman Cain has been able to raise $2 million in 2 weeks! That is incredible! If he continues putting up these numbers, he is going to be tough to beat!
One of the reasons Herman Cain is on the rise is because of Texas Governor Rick Perry's blunders. Perry's terrible debate performances and recent attacks by the liberal media have damaged his candidacy. Perry's poll numbers have dropped to the low teens to under 10%! Herman Cain has taken advantage of Perry's downfall by articulating his 9-9-9 tax reform plan. The 9-9-9 plan takes away all of the federal taxes and replaces them with a 9% corporate tax, 9% income tax, and 9% sales tax. We will dissect his plan in the near future. Herman Cain also has never run for office. He has a strong record of business experience that our country desperately needs.
This past Sunday, Herman Cain was on Meet the Press with liberal David Gregory. It's nice to see that a liberal didn't try to paint Cain as someone who hated African Americans and skipped the draft for the Vietnam War. I still cannot get over how repulsive the interview socialist Lawrence O'Donnell gave to Herman Cain. Back on subject, Herman Cain is finally the one who has the guts to say that the liberals are destroying the country on purpose. Cain states, "The objective of the liberals is to destroy this country. It is their mission. Because they do not believe in a stronger America, in my opinion. Yes."
The Tea Party needs to make a decision soon about who is the anti-Romney candidate. Is it Herman Cain, Rick Perry, or someone else? Herman Cain seems to be the guy. If he remains one of the top tier candidates in the polls by late November, he has a great chance of winning the nomination. However, Herman Cain cannot win without full Tea Party support. When the Tea Party states that they cannot endorse, this is false. They were instrumental in the victories of Senators Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Pat Toomey, Ron Johnson, and Mike Lee. Now, the Tea Party needs to step it up and endorse the right anti-Romney candidate to represent the Republican ticket in 2012. America cannot afford someone who represents Wall St. and big corporations. It is a long campaign and anything can happen, so who will be the anti-Romney candidate? Time is running out!
Off subject: My sister and I both are helping raise grandsons whose fathers have abandoned them. That was unheard of when I was being raised.
You know, just because YOU post this, doesn't make it true.
If you like Cain, go vote for him. In the meantime, you would do better service to him by advancing his positive qualities.
Rick Perry is conservative. You just have decided the jump on the train.
Maybe if you can figure out what Cain's positions really are, you can actually sell him. But like Romney, they seem to change with whoever he is speaking to.
I’ll bet you remember what your Mom told you. Mine used to say “you have it so much easier than we did”.
By that she meant she really did walk to school, had chores on the farm, washed clothes by hand and no TV or radio.
We are telling our children how sorry we are that we failed to see the barbarians at the gate - BECAUSE THEY WERE INSIDE THE DAMN GATES!!!!!!
LOL. Oh that would go over really big with those living on the border. Esp the ranchers. Not gonna happen.
Absolutely. The old...I have seen the enemy..and the enemy is us. How did we get here from there?
You will have to give me a link for that one...and the context...
It should not be difficult to find. It was the second time he said it and someone asked him to clarify his comment. He specified the voltage would be fatal.
He also said they would be posted with signs warning of their lethality.
I have NO problem with an electrified fence. But then, I’m from New York. I’d settle for a minefield.
Perry’s positions during elections are not the problem. Perry’s actions while not currently running are why I do not consider him a conservative and why I cannot support him.
You made me laugh. My neighbor is from Jersey. She would agree with you. And she is in her 80’s. I love New Yorkers...and people from NJ
**That was unheard of when I was being raised**
I believe we may have just stumbled on a scientific measure for the decline of Western Society;
When we realize we are worse off than our predecessors and it has nothing to do with material wealth - but more to do with spiritual poverty.
Pray, and pray again DallasSun.
God bless
Funny. My neighbor is from New Jersey and would agree with you. And she is in her 80’s. I love New Yorkers and people from NJ
Yes he said that as a joke, not a good joke I admit...I guess you also believed President Reagan had ordered Russia outlawed and bombed?
I do sodpoodle. And my words in my prayers for my grandson are all shaped like tears.
Cain is both the Anti-Romney and the Anti-Perry.
If say...Jan Brewer were two jump in it could be a two horse race on the conservative side. As things are, he is the only choice.
Yes, and when Reagan said that, he did not realize the microphone was on. Look it up.
Cain has publicly stated he'd electrify the fence, then came out during the debate apologized and said "Americans need to get a sense of humor."
Then over the weekend to a small crowd in TN, said the same thing. While on Meet the Press, he parroted Perry's plan.
The next day, again Cain came out and called the electricfied fence a joke. Although, many still are salivating over an electric fence and believe he meant it.
Cain reels the crowd in with what they want to hear. Then he gets on national tv and says, oh that was just a joke. It's horse manure.
Reagan had integrity and was sincere when he spoke. I saw him in person, and never missed one of his speeches. His humor was clearly that. As Reagan would have phrased it, Mr. Cain is no Ronald Reagan.
He only said it was a joke when he realized it was not well received. Another problem. You believe that? Have the courage of your convictions. Do not try to weasel out of it. Stand up for what you believe. And the Reagan analogy does not work ..sorry.
Well said.
Not comparing...just making the point...listen to everything they all have to say, dont rule out anyone based on a single comment, dont rule out anyone until the end cause it aint over till its over, when its time to vote make your decision and just vote. Whatever the outcome, get that arrogant, America-hating, coke smoking, communist/fascist, post turtle out of our house.
