IS HERMAN CAIN THE ANTI-ROMNEY CANDIDATE?!
National Spotlight ^ | 10/18/11 | Derek Petrella

Posted on 10/18/2011 10:58:42 AM PDT by NationalSpotlight

Herman Cain, the former CEO of Godfather's Pizza, is on the rise in the 2012 Republican presidential field. We shouldn't  pay attention to the polls just yet, but most of them show Cain ahead of or close to Mitt Romney. Is Herman Cain the anti-Romney candidate that we have been looking for? He might be. Herman Cain has been able to raise $2 million in 2 weeks! That is incredible! If he continues putting up these numbers, he is going to be tough to beat!

One of the reasons Herman Cain is on the rise is because of Texas Governor Rick Perry's blunders. Perry's terrible debate performances and recent attacks by the liberal media have damaged his candidacy. Perry's poll numbers have dropped to the low teens to under 10%! Herman Cain has taken advantage of Perry's downfall by articulating his 9-9-9 tax reform plan. The 9-9-9 plan takes away all of the federal taxes and replaces them with a 9% corporate tax, 9% income tax, and 9% sales tax. We will dissect his plan in the near future. Herman Cain also has never run for office. He has a strong record of business experience that our country desperately needs.

This past Sunday, Herman Cain was on Meet the Press with liberal David Gregory. It's nice to see that a liberal didn't try to paint Cain as someone who hated African Americans and skipped the draft for the Vietnam War. I still cannot get over how repulsive the interview socialist Lawrence O'Donnell gave to Herman Cain. Back on subject, Herman Cain is finally the one who has the guts to say that the liberals are destroying the country on purpose. Cain states, "The objective of the liberals is to destroy this country. It is their mission. Because they do not believe in a stronger America, in my opinion. Yes."

The Tea Party needs to make a decision soon about who is the anti-Romney candidate. Is it Herman Cain, Rick Perry, or someone else? Herman Cain seems to be the guy. If he remains one of the top tier candidates in the polls by late November, he has a great chance of winning the nomination. However, Herman Cain cannot win without full Tea Party support. When the Tea Party states that they cannot endorse, this is false. They were instrumental in the victories of Senators Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Pat Toomey, Ron Johnson, and Mike Lee. Now, the Tea Party needs to step it up and endorse the right anti-Romney candidate to represent the Republican ticket in 2012. America cannot afford someone who represents Wall St. and big corporations. It is a long campaign and anything can happen, so who will be the anti-Romney candidate? Time is running out!

You are not going to “make me see” the whole picture anymore than I already do. The rest of your post is not telling me anything I do not know. I have said I am against all illegal immigration. I have offered time and time again to help him become legal. There are now problems ....bigger problems...that I am not going to discuss. Your question about what if someone gets hurt, she would be in legal jeopardy is not even realistic. From your posts, I have gathered you are an itelligent person so I do not have to tell you why that is not even in question. Though when a worker gets hurt, she pays for their healthcare. I do not think I can tell you anymore than I have. You are now preaching to me ..I have not read anything I did not already know and you are not listening to me. But I do thank you for the discussion.

I do not for one minute think you are as unfamiliar with the conditons of which we are speaking. I grew up knowing of these conditions and the people involved on both sides. These are not bad people nor or they dishonest. I have no idea how to explain anymore than I have attempted to explain already. You are looking for an argument when a conversation would have sufficed. I am not the bad guy here. You have attempted to make me look stupid and unaware of things of which I am very aware. I cannot believe our worlds are that different.

Just your words, such as lying and spouting etc, are not conducive to healthy debate. I know you know this. Why you felt the need to insult me time and time again, I do not know. It is unnecessary.

What I have left unsaid is that these two are friends. Oft times I will call in winter and they will be sitting at the fireplace talking. In the summer, they sit in the back yard watching the old blue heron come in for fish from the lake. He has been with her through the death of her husband, the marriage of her children, the death of her son and her son in law as well as the deaths of her friends, including my Mother. So there is more to that story. And it is their story.

In my world it is acceptable to call someone a liar when they do lie. Instead of saying your friend hired an illegal or more than one to work on her ranch for her own reasons you stated:

In the first place, where these ranchers live, you try to find gringos...Americans, to ride those fences, fix them, run cattle. They dont exist. They wont do it.

That is a lie and it is the same thing most people say to justify illegal immigration- just your version of "Americans won't do that work" it is B.S. and I do call it when I see it. Everytime I see/hear someone say it I call them out on it. I call people out on that because there may be people hearing or reading it that don't know and will believe it. It was not only a lie it was an insult to citizen cowboys that do live in remote places and do all the things you said they just won't do and much more. I offered to help her find citizen cowboys several times, you ignored my offer and then finally you got to the truth that she chooses to hire illegals for her own reasons.

Excuse me. That is not a lie. You have once again called me a liar. I will not respond to your posts again. I do not lie. Period.

You are in fact lying if you are saying there are hands and cowboys available. That is a lie. Period. I am done. No more. I will not respond to anyone who calls me a liar. I am so glad I live in my world and not yours.

I am familiar with the idea that some ranchers hire illegals, many of my friends and family have tried to get jobs from ranchers that hire illegals. Imagine what it is like to know a person that shouldn’t even be here got a job you wanted and needed to provide for your family. A few illegal workers always crossed to work but during the Carter years it happened more and more as things got tough and Carter essentially opened the border with his policies. Ranchers and farmers would say- I’m sorry, I need to save money, yada, yada or they felt sorry for them. No one cared that illegals were taking those jobs and pushing out citizens- many working in agriculture jobs especially in the Southwest were replaced by illegals. People not in agriculture jobs didn’t want to hear about it either- “oh noone wants those jobs”- it was B.S. then and it is B.S. now.

As time went on it wasn’t just agriculture, but construction, hotels, restaurants, you name it...wash rinse and repeat until we are where we are today. It wasn’t right then and it isn’t right today. I don’t know what you and your family do for a living but how would you like it if your country decided it was ok to let people flood in illegally to replace you??

Thank goodness there are still honest ranchers, farmers and others that will hire citizens, even though those that don’t follow the law seem to do just fine, and may make more money than they do.

There are many ranches here; some run thousands of cows, not hundreds- they all hire citizens, there are at least two men working on a ranch here that have work permits to come work legally but I don’t know of a single illegal working around here. If I knew for sure someone here was hiring illegals I would report them as would my neighbors. I have never heard of priests and doctors visiting ranches to care for the employees in my lifetime but will take your word for it that it happens there.

If you really are aware of all the issues of hiring illegals and still defend it then we are VERY different. You say you are against it, but you repeat the open borders mantra of “no gringo will do that work” or it is a way of life or whatever to justify it. “Gringos” will do that work, and hiring illegals is only a way of life for those that chose to do it.

We live every day with the border issues, Rob Krentz was murdered about 40 miles from here as the crow flies and my daughter was in his daughter’s wedding. Another “gringo” was murdered by border trash a couple months ago not too far from here, but it wasn’t in the news long. Armed smugglers are caught here, right where cowboys have to go check water for cattle just as Rob was doing when he was murdered. We can’t travel unarmed and have issues constantly with illegal traffic. Houses are broke into, even rural schools, illegals abandoned by coyotes have even tried to carjack vehicles, and things are stolen and trashed all the time by border traffic. It is even so much worse in Arizona which is not far from us.

We really must be in different worlds.

And what I said in the beginning still stands true now. There are no workers up there who are going to work those ranches. She is in her 80’s. She has ranched for a long time. She knows how difficult it is to find cowboys and cowhands up there. The locals will not do it. Seldom did...seldom do now.

Why do employees need to be locals? That makes no sense at all, so I guess you wouldn’t use a professional of any kind that didn’t grow up there? Few of the cowboys in this country grew up here, but the ranchers here would rather hire cowboys that grew up in TX, AZ, NV than illegals. Imagine that concept.

Through all of our posts you never once tried to see the other side of the situation. That is my proof that you support hiring illegals and will justify it any way you can.

Yep she is just fine with her illegal employees, and has the support from folks like you to keep on breaking the various laws she has to break to work illegals.

She is dishonest for hiring illegals and your are dishonest about being against illegal immigration- not to hard to see why you are friends.

My point was, she is working with a full crew. She needs no one now. Also, we are friends because she and my mother were best friends. I lost my mother in 2004. There are times I feel the closest I will ever be to my mother again is talking to her. She is a wonderful, Christian woman. She is a mother, grandmother, friend. She has worked this ranch all of her life. Before her, her father ran it. Before him, her grandfather ran it. She knows ranching. If she needed advice, I dont think I am the one she would go to. If she needed someone, there are ranchers there who would send someone immediately and she would have no problem finding someone to work for her. Without my help.

I am not justifying anything. I never said they had to be locals. You are looking for a bad guy where there is none. I have said from the beginning, repeatedly, I do not support the workers coming in illegally.

I’ve asked this question before and never got an answer and you, MNJohnnie, might be the person to answer it for me (I guess I could look it up, but I’m lazy):

A few years ago I saw posted here on FR a youtube clip of someone arguing with Commissar Barbara Boxer of the Peoples Republic of California, a black businessman arguing with her on the subject of “green jobs”. She was her normal disgusting putrid self, didn’t listen to anything the businessman was saying and kept dumping “reports” into the “congressional record” about how much “green employment” there now was in California.

I didn’t know of Herman Cain back in those days and now I’m wondering, is that who I saw arguing with that pig b*tch boxer? Was that Herman Cain?

Whoever it was did a magnificent job against a totally stacked deck of being interrupted all the time and having every one of his points “refuted” by yet another so-called “document” being entered into the “congressional record”, without an ounce of reasoning coming from the boxer b*tch.

It wasn’t Cain.

You really should re-read your posts to me- you repeatedly said there was no legal cowboys there to do the work. As if she had no choice but to hire illegals. You finally conceeded that other ranchers there do have legal help but made it seem like there was no more legal help to be had there. I suggested to you that she could do as other ranchers all over the country do and hire cowboys from somewhere else. You acted as though that was not a possibility either. No matter what your business is hiring illegals is a CHOICE and it is AGAINST THE LAW. You posted and posted trying to justify her actions. There is no justification for her actions, whether she is your friend or not what she is doing is WRONG and ILLEGAL.

You told me how close she and this illegal foreman of hers are and you told me money is not an issue for her- yet she has had him for 20-30 years and not seen fit to even get him a work permit so he can work for her legally- much less gone the extra mile to help him get citizenship at some point in the many years he has worked for her. Many ranchers here have helped people get work permits so they could LEGALLY work for them- without a “close” relationship- just employer-employee. Sounds like she is happy to keep him illegal- you should ask yourself for what purpose? Has she ever thought about what will happen to him if someone reports him working there illegally or she passes away? He could very well end up deported after all these years of her not getting him legal and him being the loyal employee you say he has been and is. Good deal for him? I understand if you find a person that you really want to hire- if they are not here legally you should either not hire them or help them get some sort of legal status. Do you realize if he had been caught crossing the border a few times it would no longer be a misdemeanor but a felony? I can’t imagine that at some time in the last many years he hasn’t crossed to visit and just hasn’t been caught doing so. Great position she has put him in.

You defend her actions, ok- but don’t then try to pretend that you don’t support illegal immigration- you just can’t have it both ways.

Where I live from time to time I have known some really “nice” people and found out later they are connected to a cartel/smugglers/other illegal activities here on the border. I don’t then turn around and try to defend what they are doing, though I may be very surprised that folks that seem so nice could be doing such things. I feel no need to justify the criminal activity of others. I just cannot imagine why you would go to such lengths to do so.

she has some cowboys who are legal...so do some of the other ranchers. I dont know any who do not have illegals working their ranches. not one. for good reason. even a dog knows when to bury a pork chop bone.....
