We have a problem when our supposed populist non politician front runner is a former Federal Reserve chairman. Herman Cain does have experience in the private sector, but a good portion of that private sector experience is working for the private corporation-The Federal Reserve.
Herman Cain believes that individual citizens can just call up the private corporation known as The Federal Reserve and ask them how they operate?
Who does he think we are? You cannot even step foot on the property of the Private Reserve. You can call the human relations department at the Federal Reserve and they will ignore your request.
Herman Cain says no need to audit The Federal Reserve.
Its not even a leading charge by just Ron Paul any longer.
The tide has turned, when even Gingrich sees the problem with The Federal Reserve.
Herman Cain is part of the problem. Herman Cain is damaged goods. He is an attractive candidate, but he is not the candidate that will turn this country around.
We need to understand that our monetary policy has been hijacked since 1913.
As long as a private corporation operates our monetary system and needs, we will not have sound money or a free economy for all Americans to dream or prosper.

Are you saying that the American People own the Federal Reserve?
Are you saying The American Government owns the Federal Reserve?

In years past he backed Romney?I was thinking back to this. Now that I re-read it, it's hard to say how much of that was genuine support for Romney and how much of it was just anti-support for McCain.

The American people, through the federal government, own the Fed in a de facto, beneficial, and functional sense because its governors are federal appointees, it operates under federal law, and it is an agency of the United States carrying out official US government policy. The "shares" held by the Fed member banks confer no genuine, enforceable ownership interest but are in the nature of loans that are a condition of being a member bank.

The Federal Reserve Banks provide financial services to depository institutions including banks, credit unions, and savings and loans, much like those that banks provide for their customers. These services include collecting checks, electronically transferring funds and distributing and receiving cash and coin. SO SCARY! BOOOO! You forgot that other "service" they do - you know, the one where they print the money at the cost of the ink and paper, and then loan it to the government for the amount printed on it, plus interest?
Scary? Boooo? You're damn right.

What a brazenky arrogant and duplicitous answer! The TRUTH is that the Federal Reserve is NOT owned by the government OR the people, that it has a DE FACTO stranglehold on the economics of the country, that it controls every aspect of it's interaction with the government including the creation of the "laws" that "control" it, as well as who it's "federal appointee" overseers are (and they are invariably former Fed executives).
In addition, addressing the false "shares" of member banks specifically does not address the real shares of the Fed controllers who own shares of the member banks themselves - namely the Rothschilds, the Bank of England, and various other London banking houses.

Would you consider yourself as "owning" a company because you paid for and were issued shares in your name, but you could never sell those shares, had no say in picking the directors and management of the company, and the company's directors, management, and policies were all set by the federal government to serve its purposes? I submit that you would regard such an arrangement as not genuine ownership. In the end, the supposed share holding list and diagram you refer to are actually capital contributions.

According to wikipedia Cain a former deputy chairman (199294) and chairman (199596) of the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.
He was a chairman of the board of directors in kansas city.
I am not terrified of The Fed. But I did like Gingrichs pov tonight. If they are part of the problem then we need to remove it. Right?

A quote and a question:
“Ron Paul and his flaming antiwar spam monkeys can Kiss my Ass!!”- Jim Robinson, Sept 30, 2007
And a question for the flaming antiwar spam monkeys who keep trying to infest this site with their nuttery: If your candidate is so awesome, why do you have to lie?

I’ve got a list of about 15 screen names written down near my computer that I watch. One was a Ron Paul supporter and had been replying to itself. I noticed it was zotted off the net. “Your query yielded not results” or whatever was all that showed up. StaffofMoses and Lightingstriker2010 are both history.

"You forgot that other "service" they do - you know, the one where they print the money at the cost of the ink and paper"
First study up on your facts, before you try to argue a point.
The US Mint prints our currency. The mints operate under the auspices of the Federal Reserve and the US Treasury Department, NOT the Federal Reserve!
Ignorance leads to fear mongering, you are a good example of that.
