Presidential candidate Rick Perry tells the Brody File that hed be lost without God and prays for the Holy Spirit to guide his tongue. The Texas Governor also talked with me about whether he has Sarah Palins phone number on speed dial and reacts to Herman Cains meteoric rise.
I spoke with Governor Perry Friday afternoon at the Values Voter Summit in Washington DC.

Very good interview.
Rick Perry is a REAL MAN!
He knows who he is and where he would like to take America.
Redeem our love of Freedom and Self-reliance.
Blaming everyone else for your problems has never solve anything.
Gov. Perry isn’t shy about his feelings.
David Brody: Im wondering this campaign, theres been some ups and downs, talk to me from more of a spiritual perspective, maybe a spiritual struggle that youve had to deal with during your times, your quiet times with the Lord. You pray for Mitt Romney, right?
Gov. Rick Perry: And pray for this President. I pray for this President almost everyday. Not almost, every day. I pray for his wisdom, I pray for God to open his eyes. This is going to be up, its going to be down, but I pray for strength and wisdom. Whether it was Moses leading the Israelites or whether it was David walking into that plain with five smooth stones, to realize that Gods going to be with you, and dont fear anything, Hes in charge. And ask for the Holy Spirit to guide your tongue and the wisdom of your body, and the wisdom of your thoughts, and to actually put the words in your mouth. From time to time, I overcome the Holy Spirit and I have to say, well, Lord, I said something and didnt really let you really be driving the process.
David Brody: Where are you without God? If God is not in your life?
Gov. Rick Perry: Im lost, is where I would be. I can no more separate myself from Gods love than I can separate myself from my history of being a tenant farmers son, or my accent. Thats part of my life. Its part of who I am. So, everyday, I ask for Gods wisdom, everyday, I ask for His guidance, and without it, I truly would be lost, in more ways than one.
I like what I hear. :)
I liked this interview. Thanks...
As a Christian, it’s easy for me to see that Rick Perry has a personal relationship with God.
I think he is going to be our next president.
Cain's problem is that the doesn't think before he speaks and that he's going to find himself tripped up more and more as the weeks go on.
Yep, Perry haters call him dumb. Well, let me stay dumb enough to have a 24/7 walk with The Lord as he obviously has. When I am led of The Lord on a matter...I’ve been called gullible...my reaction is OK...if I am please oh please let me remain gullible, better gullible due to my relationship with The Lord...than street smart with a relationship with the world who is led by the devil.
Rick Perry has always had a relationship with The Lord however around 2 years ago he had an experience with The Lord that people have said due to this mighty experience with The Lord, he is a changed man.
Amen!
God Bless this man.
Hmmmm...I read that Perry didn't do so well in those three GOP debates. How would he explain away that?
“From time to time, I overcome the Holy Spirit and I have to say, well, Lord, I said something and didnt really let you really be driving the process. — Perry
Couldn’t have said it better myself!
