Please tell me why Ron Paul is the only one out there defending or even mentioning the Constitution on this?

The rest -- Romney and Perry et all -- are cheerleading Obama on this. Why? Maybe because they just can't wait to have this kind of power for themselves.

Not a Paulite and no tears for American jihadis but assasinating American citizens should at least make us think about the constitutional questions. I’m not real comfortable with any POTUS having that power let alone this one. Fireright? Kill’em all. But I think I would be much more comfortable with oversight from Congress. Or try him in absentia and declare him an enemy combatant who is operational. Some kind of check on this power is logical and desirable I think.

Hey Ron, STFU!

The authority comes from “We the People”, and we are good with it.

Just becasue we didn’t spend 16 million dollars on a trial doesn’t mean we didn’t give public consent: we didn’t call our representatives to demand a trial.

Maybe the Constitution didn’t apply to the Civil War?

It probably is unconstitutional but out of the mind numbing number of unconstitutional/impeachable acts Barry has committed this is the one I am fairly OK with.

Al-Awlaki was 'shot' while trying to escape.

When it comes to matters of national security, Paul cannot be trusted.

Ron Paul does not know the Constitution. Al-Awalaki denounced his citizenship by taking up arms against the US. It’s called treason. And you think Paul has it right? It is abhorrent that Ron Paul and anyone else denounce the killing of someone so evil. Shame on you and Ron Paul.

It’s a great deterrent having enemy targets thinking that a missile will come without warning and vaporized a person or persons. And that a continual tracking down of enemy whereabouts or strongholds until final resolution is extracted shows resolve on our part to not let criminal activity go unpunished....I get that.

Without the rule of law, you multiply the cockroaches’ convictions. Torture became a legal question so we just skipped to outright murder. We don’t even know who we are killing during the last strike. Maybe got a bomb maker in the mix too besides a couple US citizens. Hell, lately, you don’t even have to produce a dead body to claim success let alone a live person (like under arrest).

Is to much to ask to draw up a complaint with a list of grievances. Even Congress could vote on it, up or down. At least that would eliminate someone acting on a whim.

You know, there was the law about assassinating world leaders but that went out the window with the Libya action so just about anything is legal, if you can get away with it, while Congress does nothing.

Now we hear Ron Paul would impeach Obama for this? Killing this dude and Osama Bin Laden are the only things Obama has done right in 3 years. What about all the other wrongdoings this President has committed?

The Ron Paul nutjobs are pathetic.
