Al Awlaki could have had due process any time, if that's what he wanted.

His father did. He kept protesting that a lot of this stuff wasn't true. The response? "The government chooses not to debate his status because it could compromise sources".

That's Nancy Grace justice. You trust politicians to be judge/jury/executioner? Who's naive?

Ron doesn’t know the meaning of traitor or of the Constitution. He thinks Iran should have the bomb, and that this vermin should have lived just because he was born here. He doesn’t get that AA’s actions voided his citizenship.

Call Paul’s office.

Al-Awalaki denounced his citizenship by taking up arms against the US. It’s called treason.

I think the word you are looking for is "renounced", not "denounced". And to my knowledge, the only "arms" he ever "took up" was his tongue. He's never even been indicted, let alone convicted, of anything -- including treason.

The US has always be a country that respects the Rule of Law. Yeah "shame on me (and Ron Paul)" for understanding that this respect for the Constitution and the Rule of Law is the only thing that stands between the US remaining a Constitutional Republic and becoming a tyranny./s

You know what? Shame on you for defending Obama's unilateral power grab that spits on the freedoms & legal protections that this country was founded on!

Got that right! He null and voided his citizenship by taking action against the US. We’re not talking about a bunch of hippie lefties. These are terrorists bent on our destruction! Good for the military!

"The World cant wait for 2012."

Unless Fast & Furious gets this marxist out of the White House, we have no choice but to wait.

If we elect the right person for the job in 2012,(cough Sarah, cough), we can do a complete turn about.

If we get a RINO, we're screwed. 2nd Revolution, Civil War, whatever we want to call it, here it comes.

First, Yemen is not a declared battlefield.
Second, he was not an enemy combatant.

I'm glad he's dead, but the method raises HUGE issues. If Obama can do this, why can't he do it to Freepers who make comments about the Tree of Liberty needing blood?

The salient point is that all of the assumptions we are making (he was a terrorist, he was inciting violence against America, he needed killing) are all much more properly made by a judge, and not by politicians!!!!! Once you give politicians the power to kill Americans without a trial, you are opening Pandors Box. Paul is right in this case. He often takes a logical point beyond it's logical extreme, but not in this case.

We should have had the American terrorist arrested, tried, and then out to death. Had he been found in a live battlefield, actively attacking American soldiers, those rules go out the window, he wasn't. Obama murder an American citizen, and most of the nation cheered. in 25 years, this precedent could lead to some VERY unfortunate and unforeseen consequences.

I am going to go with you actually meant: "I'm as sick of it as you".

Not that you meant: "I am sick of you".

The Tea party has been slacking off.

We need to not only get the best candidate for POTUS, we need to be looking at the Senate races as well.

If you believe we live in a dictatorship, then I encourage you to talk with Venezuelans and Cubans who escaped to here. Perhaps you can relocate. We aren’t even close to a dictatorship.

When he said this: 'Awlaki said': “With the American invasion of Iraq and continued U.S. aggression against Muslims, I could not reconcile between living in the U.S. and being a Muslim, and I eventually came to the conclusion that jihad against America is binding upon myself just as it is binding on every other Muslim,”

To bad so sad, he made his loyalties known, he was killed in a battle not in the USA. Feel sympathy for him fine, I do not. He made his positions known a multitude of times and suffered the consequences.

I’m with ya! Too bad some people can’t see that this creature denounced his citizenship by taking up arms against US. It’s like logic or something, huh. Talk about being “stuck on stupid”.

Hey Stupid... You're taking what the MSM told you as Gospel, and using it as the basis for your support for the extermination of an American citizen. Are you sure that this is the kind of decision that you can trust to politicians and the media, more than to a judge and a jury? Personally, I am not. As vile as he reportedly is, I love Due Process, the Constitution, and Liberty. I don't feel like giving all of those up just so you can cheer Obama's quickie murder of a person you have been made to hate through news reports.
