I just hope that in November 2012 we will elect Sarah Palin as President! I was happy when Reagan got elected but will be even more so when Sarah is elected!

Our country is in worse shape now, and not just financially, but in losing our Freedoms!

I think Sarah will be a better President than Reagan, which will be hard, but that is what the dems fear!

Palin has already been a role model for women and women voted more Republican in the (mid terms) for the first time ever, because of Sarah!

Her family is normal vs Reagan's and she lives the Pro Life, always been conservative, and has given the media back as much as they give! She's more been vetted than Reagan was also!

I Know her Supreme court picks would be much better than Reagan's (W did better than Reagan)! A very lasting impact on the Country!

Alaska, 25 years from now will still be a Red state. Reagan's California sure turned Blue and he had no lasting effect on his own state,

Reagan did change the whole country towards the right once he became President, but Sarah has already done so!

If Sarah is not the President in 2013 the America haters, the left, socialists, media, and the rinos, win again!

Sarah Palin, because she is a Conservative Christian, is evil to them. She is a good, GODLY women, one of us, who loves America!

What a terrible CRIME!

“We must elect Sarah Palin president in the most crushing tidal wave of enthusiastic good judgment ever seen in the history of this nation. With that one bold move we will accomplish the dual goals of seeing America led by the greatest natural born leader in our generation, even as we witness the final implosion and last agonized shrieks of our endlessly lying extreme left loonies. Their entire movement, from the fabricated attacks on Bush beginning with ‘Blood For Oil’ to the crammed-down-our-gullets lies of Obamacare and the Shovel Ready Stimulus, have been nothing but one vile deceit heaped upon another. Such an absolute inability to deal in the truth or to face the facts of our situation and its solutions only proves that there is simply no place at the grown-ups’ table for these diseased sputa. Good riddance to rubes and bad rubbish. Time to usher in the American Renaissance, carried in on the invigoratingly freshening breeze of President Sarah Palin.”

I think that the election of Sarah Palin would be one of the few occurrences that will reverse the decline of the Republic.

However, Ronald Reagan and Sarah Palin are two very different people in very different times, and comparisons are difficult especially on personal points.

Philosophy and policy are what form actions, and here I believe the two have enough in common to both accomplish great gains against the non producer thieves intent on ruling the world.

Assuming Sarah Palin is elected, it won’t be because of her that America is turned around.

It will be because the American people realize the damage the institutions are doing and will turn them around themselves.

She may be a welcome change, but she really is incidental to what happens, not instrumental.

The power have always been in the hands of the people, not particular individuals.

The power have always been in the hands of the people,

What people have the power now?

According to you, seems we don't need a new leader/president - just keep barry.

Actually, if Conservatives pushed hard enough and the parties or people in power knew they would be utterly destroyed if they did something unseemly.

Yeah, the leader matters less.

I can speak from experience on this matter. As a Canadians, since 1992, we forced all majority parties through a cleansing and renewal.

Consequently, my country walked through the world financial crisis as if it didn’t happen and we have very few problematic politicians at the moment.

She might not be the only reason (and that’s as it should be), but she is already instrumental. I read posts on a Hillary Clinton forum when she was running, and there were women there who were very impressed. After what they saw the press did to Palin, they started to question what else the press was lying about.

Plenty of conservatives already know how to vote correctly, but many of the independents and the liberals need inspiration and good examples of a people who lead by principle.

I agree. In that sense, Sarah was definitely a strong factor in conservatives being less hesitant in standing for their position, whether or society approved of it. She was also a factor. I say factor, as opposed to instrumental because I think American society was heading in that direction anyway.

Reagan was instrumental.

I'm not sure it was your intent, but we need not diminish Reagan in order to lift up Palin. Both political figures represent the concept of a nation governed by the people - not the other way around.

Many people disregard Palin at the moment because they have been successfully brainwashed by the media that Palin is some "not-ready-for-prime-time" dummy. That's okay because to an extent, that's what they tried doing to Reagan too and in the long run, it did not work.

So I think that Palin can overcome the negatives that have been unfairly imposed upon her by a three-year hatchet job by the media and the political elite. The constant attacks upon her and her family have made her stronger.

A careful study of American presidents will show that our best and most successful presidents have been those who had humble beginnings and spent at least some of their lives as a regular Americans. They seem to be the best leaders with the most common sense. Contrast that with those president who are portrayed as "smarter" because they were educated at elite Ivy-league schools and never really had to do an honest days work. The latter are usually our worst and least effective leaders.

The one difference she would make to the entire landscape is taking on the media at every turn and essentially nullifying their constant sream of crap. Even now she has them all tied up in knots, imagine what she can do to the likes of the NYT and WP allong with the alphabet soups networks if she had the bully pulpit to expose them.

Once she does that, then the tidal wave of citizen driven changes would be made to this country with real, honest and objective news. Poeple learn what they live and all too often, the media drives the learning process.

She is the only one of stature politically who takes them on at every turn. Everyone else just wants to be their friend hoping for any kind of balanced covereage.

Vet, you know I'm a Sarah guy and I've said that we all need to be patient but I'm getting just a little anxious.

I will continue to wait because there is still time but hopefully it won't be too much longer.

Then former Governor Ronald Reagan announced his candidacy for the 1980 elections on November 13, 1979.

It's time to quit making Reagan more than was he was, He was a a Godly man who loved America, and all my enemies hated him just like Sarah Palin.

Reagan would have loved Sarah liked he loved Lady Thatcher.

The same people hated her too.
