1.Will Republicans applaud ANYTHING Obama says...except for when he's introduced and when he finishes...

2.Will there be some type of protest in the galleries? ( Can Medea Benjamin and Code Pink infiltrate the House chamber?)

3. Will any Democrats ( except for the members of the Black Caucus) STAND and applaud Obama's proposals.

4. Which Republican will have the most annoyed look on his face? ( like sucking a lemon)

5. How many times will we see Joe Biden jumping up and applauding wildly while John Boehner remains seated and does nothing except frown?

6. How many times will Obama's speech be interrupted for applause ( however tepid)? This "key indicator"will be talked about incessantly by the chattering class.

7. How many times will Obama say "I" during the speech?

8. Will he once again blame the "previous administration" for the nation's economic woes?

9. Will he actually accuse House Republicans of failing to work with him? ( and then decry the "high level of partisanship that exists.")

10. Will he tell the American people, at the end, that he hopes they'll enjoy the football game? ( big suck-up)

He doesn’t even say it right. A true black man (and I am sure you have heard this from black clergy, etc.) say Working folk, Black folk, etc. NO “s”. He is speaking with his white half. Just say’n.

I actually wouldn’t applaud him at all, not even at his entrance, and here’s why.

The President deserves respect when he is speaking as a non-partisan HEAD OF STATE.

When he instead is speaking as a partisan HEAD OF GOVERNMENT, he deserves no more respect than Harry Reid or Nancy Pelosi. Would I applaud THEM, at least when they were giving yet another bloviating “we need tax hikes and stimulus spending — again!” speech? No way.

It ain't speeches, and this applies to last night's debate. Did any of them commit hisself to eliminating this or that department? Heck, the only one who made a commitment was Ron who would eliminate air conditioning in Afghanistan! Whatta wunnerful political system we've got. Ain't it just purrfect?!
