Ed Rollins, campaign manager for Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann Presidential run announced that he is stepping back into an advisory role, citing health concerns, as word of his deputy manager, David Polyansky, is leaving the campaign as well. Rollins was on Anderson Cooper's AC360 show on CNN and admitted that the entrance of Rick Perry has "slowed our money down" into the Bachmann campaign and took momentum out of her campaign
He also stated that it's legitimately a Romney/Perry race with them being the leaders in the poll and leaders in money and that Michelle Bachmann is the third person in the race and that she should think of it as a marathon and a long time before voters decide who get's the nomination. Rollins also noted that Bachamnn was returning this fall back into Congress

anytime the campaign manger admits publicly that the campaign is having money issues tell you what’s about to happen!
Many FReepers were against the fact that Michele picked Rollins in the first place. Looks like they were right. She will be better off without him.
I guess it’s Jeb Bush Jr’s race to win.
How deliciously ironic....Not only have two of Bachamann’s top staffers left/demoted, but Ed basically stabs her in the back with that comment.
Classic.
If Perry does crash and burn, I'm not real excited about any of the other contenders.
Not a good sign.
It speaks to the kind of person that Ed Rollins is that he would dump on her both in terms of compensatory support as well as badmouthing her chances in public on the same day. I’m not a Bachmann supporter but Rollins is a low-life and would probably benefit from a punch in the jaw.
It didn’t say much for Bachman that she chose to work with a guy like Rollins in the first place.
It’s Perry. He’s got it. Everyone knows it. Even Romney. It’s over.

“I’ve been strongly considering both Bachmann and Perry.”
Well this poll should make you happy:
“Iowa Caucus: Iowa GOP: Perry 29%, Bachmann 18%, Romney 17%, Paul 14%
Monday, September 05, 2011”
It is way to early to make a statement like that.

Who would you suggest Bachmann should have chosen? My guess it wouldn’t have a dimes worth of difference and she’d still be about in the same place. She’s a good person but Presidential material maybe another question.
Don’t go the bank yet, FRiend.
Something’s happening you haven’t apparently detected.
You’ll know soon. FRegards.
Selecting Rollins was a sign of the end of that run.
Boy, am I sorry Palin didn’t lock up that key talent before Bachmann did.
Rollins has been off his rocker since Christie Whiteman’s first gubernatorial run. Was that the late 80’s .. his ‘walking around money’ comments?
I tend to think that Bachmann’s campaign’s best days are behind her. She can say she’s happy to go back to Congress where she can work for the people of Minnesota’s X District, blah blah blah, etc., etc., etc., But Rollins might learn to shut his mouth and leave these statements to the actual candidate.
Its Perry. Hes got it. Everyone knows it. Even Romney. Its over.
I saw Romney on FNC today. He was at some rally and he sounded exactly like McCain: “I’m not saying Mr. 0bama is not a nice guy, he just doesn’t get it”.
Dumb SOB.
Perhaps getting in early and wasting money on advisers may not be so great after all?
Pray for America
