This makes me sick.
Ron Paul again blames the US for the 9-11 Al-Qaeda massacre.
The Des Moines Register reported, via Free Republic:
Two weeks away from the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, presidential candidate and Texas Rep. Ron Paul says that U.S. intervention in the Middle East is a main motivation behind terrorist hostilities toward America, and that Islam is not a threat to the nation.
At a campaign stop on Saturday in Winterset, one man asked Paul how terrorist groups would react if the U.S. removed its military presence in Middle Eastern nations, a move the candidate advocates.
Which enemy are you worried that will attack our national security? Paul asked.
If youre looking for specifics, Im talking about Islam. Radical Islam, the man answered.
I dont see Islam as our enemy, Paul said. I see that motivation is occupation and those who hate us and would like to kill us, they are motivated by our invasion of their land, the support of their dictators that they hate.
Regarding 9/11, Paul said that attacks against the U.S. from Middle Eastern groups at home and abroad can be traced to the foreign presence of U.S. troops, as well as Americas relationships with dictator regimes.
Let Freedom Ring has more on Pauls outrageous claims
That’s the biggest reason I can’t vote for him.
Osama Bin Laden never mentioned “Dictators” in his rants against America. He mentioned Jews. You have been exposed Mr. Paul.
Do you have a fact-based argument against his point? Bin Laden himself said that 9/11 was motivated by US intervention in the mideast. The 9/11 commission report said the same thing.
So he said it again? Good lord, what a loon.
So, can we link to OURSELVES?
Ron Paul is an A - hole.
I hope he retires in silence.
Just out of curiosity... If Al-Qaeda does take over Libya, as appears to be the case, and then they launch attacks on us using that nation as a base of operations, whose fault will it be?
First, when did Bin Laden get the authority to say who can or can't be in the US. Second, this war has been going on long before Bin Laden. The war on the West was outlined in 1928 by Hasan al-Banna long before Bin Laden and long before our so called intervention. Third, when do we use enemy propaganda as a guide for how we act? I can keep going and going, but Paul has been shown to be a complete idiot on this subject and he capitulates to these tyrants. He loves to 'intervene' in Israel by giving fodder to Iran's Press TV condemning Israel's action in her homeland or even calling Israel terrorists. Propaganda is 'intervention' and he has no problem helping the enemy with their propaganda. In one interview, Paul even borders on treason in his confirming of clandestine operations in Egypt to Iran's state media.
Al Qaeda’s.
He’s also big on letting the muzzies build the New Yawk Victory Mosque.
Source for this claim? Because neither Bin Laden nor the 09-11 Commission said any such thing.
Glad you love Ron Paul, but that doesn't allow you to make up "facts" to validate your emotion based opinions.
That’s how I found it... pretty cool, this one had more links and info though than the original FR article.
The people launching the attack.
This guy is cracked.
Bin Laden has stated three motivations: Sanctions imposed against Iraq, presence of U.S. military in Saudi Arabia, support of Israel by United States. Sources
Former CIA official Says Ron Paul is Right
Ron Paul is not saying that Bin Laden is correct to attack America. In fact he voted for the military action to go after Bin Laden after 9/11. He is saying that if you want to prevent terrorism, it is important to understand what motivates it.
