Still only a 50/50. Sarah is more about "Empower America" than she is about "Sarah for President." She will only enter if she believes it will benefit America and if she doesn't see another candidate who offers what she believes she has to offer. I think she will stay out because of Perry as long as Perry doesn't stumble. He's got as much charisma and attracts just as much enthusiasm, his stand on the issues is pretty much the same as hers, and he has more governing experience than she.

I think on September 3rd she will make a rousing speech blasting Obama and making a strong argument for conservative--empowering--principles. Frankly, I think she enjoys what she is currently doing. I'm betting that she will announce that she is going to run for Senator from Arizona. Kyl is retiring--would that it were McCain--and it is a perfect move for her.

I agree with your assessment.

Wouldn’t that be a sly poke in the eye to ol McCain, and a perfect way to reestablish credibility on the political front?

Well, we have to wait and see. She will get my vote at least in our primary, if she runs for President

Not even close. Perry can rabble rouse, but he doesn't inspire like Palin. We've yet to see him fill arenas to overflowing like Palin does, or have such an enormous level of grass roots support. He can talk the talk, but he doesn't walk the walk like she does, either.

He's the new flavor of the week in the Republican primary, and has gained points from the natural spike of early interest and curiosity. Most folks haven't yet vetted the man, and don't really know him. That will change, as the weeks and months roll on.

Gov Palin gave an on camera interview at the Phoenix airport recently and was asked if she would run for the open AZ Senate seat. She replied, "NO" and added that that was not in her future plans.
