Wouldn’t that be a sly poke in the eye to ol McCain, and a perfect way to reestablish credibility on the political front?

Yep. She would be able to avoid insulting McClame out of her gratitude for his naming her Veep beside him and his continued refusal to criticize her while being a thorn in his side by arguing for true conservative principles in the Senate. At the same time, it would burnish her already strong credentials by letting her deal with national issues . . . two years a governor is fair, but 2 years a governor and 6 a Senator suddenly becomes outstanding. Sarah as grown prodigiously in her sophistication and suitability for the Presidency, but she could still use a bit more experience. Becoming a Senator would provide that and she would still be able to jump for the 2020 campaign—and I believe win easily by then.
