Lackland AFB Prepares for the Mahdi (is this credible?)
The Gates of Vienna ^ | August 18, 2011 | Timothy R. Furnish, PhD

On August 7, 2011, at an as-yet undisclosed location on Lackland Air Force Base near San Antonio, Texas, the U.S. government officially became a sponsor of the Mahdi.

No, not Barack Hussein Obama, but a much more serious and overt candidate: Adnan Oktar, a.k.a. “Harun Yahya,” the Turkish Creationist whose followers consider him the “rightly-guided one” of Islamic tradition, expected to come before the end of time to make the entire world Muslim.

Mahdism was my original area of academic specialization within Islamic history (about which I wrote my doctoral dissertation, first book and numerous articles); I interviewed Oktar in Istanbul a few years ago; and, finally, I spent time in the military as both enlisted and commissioned, the latter training to be a chaplain.

So I have some familiarity with all aspects of this troubling story, which came to my attention early on 14 August 2011 via photos posted to my Facebook page by contacts within Oktar’s organization:

I tried to find supporting evidence for this article on the web, but was largely unsuccessful. It seemed everything found went back to this source.

I cannot state that it is credible, but it makes some sense the way it is written.

Think about this, after the Ft. Hood shooter this could indicate still more insanity from the military leadership (source probably civilian)

Your Opinion??

Bear in mind, articles in this source was quoted by the Oslo murderer.

I don’t know. But the thought crossed my mind that the Creationism link might be why he made some goofy statements about Islam this week. There were lots of individuals here that reacted to that.

Now if you read the comments on the link, someone was willing to spend lots of bucks to send a packet to a fellow prof who requested one. It might be that someone, with bucks, offered Rick a larger sum.

you mean the one that “confronts” Obama on the border issues in FRONT of the camera, but behind the camera, told then Mexican leader V. Fox that “We have to do what is necessary to keep the border open”, and the same Gov Slick Perry that signed the DREAM Act, to make illegal Aliens eligible for financial aid and in-state tuition?

You mean THAT governor of Texas?

“Where’s our Gov of TX?”

Why do you ask? He couldn’t do anything about this even if he wanted to, because Lackland is a FEDERAL preserve, and the state government has not authority over it.

Only if I had a nickel for each and every time I heard “We can’t, she can’t, he can’t”. There always seems to be an obstacle in the way; doesn’t there? America didn’t become America to give in to obstacles. :)

Good cartoon.

Do you think the federal government actually allowed this to happen on a military base? When I first found this it sounded so preposterous that I was skeptical. After I read the bio of the author I began to think it really did happen.

This seems to me to be AT LEAST as credible as Global Warming. If we must spend $Trillions to prepare for Global Warming even though there is no credible evidence of it, simply because it MIGHT be happening, we certainly can spend a few bucks on some four year old kid to come crawling out of a well in Iran after spending a dozen, or so, centuries there.

It is one thing to determine if this did happen at the AFB as described.

It is quite another thing to determine the reason it did.

That part I am not interested in. Don't believe any of that nonsense. But the question is who were we accommodating?

It does seem incredible that such things should happen on a US base.

However I remember that - before the massacre - the Fort Hood killer gave public seminars on how *infidels should be made to drink molten metal* and no-one dared to officially complain.

Too often political correctness blinds and restrains us, At Fort Hood it paved the way for mass murder.

So I can certainly believe that strange things are going on at Lackland.

Stay safe FRiend.

When I was active duty we were officially Protestant,Catholic, Jew, or nothing at all.Spec ops was busy in covert attempts
“men who stare at goats etc. “ in “farwalking” or out of body ‘seeing” guided by the satanic. And look at what such experimentation has led to— witchcraft is now accepted,as is ISLAM and the only religion discriminated against is that of the American foundation/ Christianity. This does not bode well for our future -and the domestic enemy residing in the WhiteHouse has done much to fundamentally change America.

Yes, the enemy is within the gates and no one seems alarmed..

Looking for a candidate who will simply refuse to be bound by the rules - a candidate who will just do as he sees fit, regardless of constitutional restraints?

Freekitty must be a Birther I said to myself, and sure enough:

Obama’s certification of birth has been proven a fraud. They tried to shut the guy who proved it to be a fraud up.

Question:

Would you consider someone who is convinced that Obozo’s recently released Certificate of Live Birth is not simply a scanned document (it is not) to be a “Birther”.

The issue of where he was born is still unresolved. His entire past is conjured.

Do I believe he was born in Kenya? No.

But there is no truth in his background. His life story will not hold water as presented. The question is “who” put this post turtle where he is?
