About a year and a half ago I reached my limit of being able to listen to or watch Barack Obama deliver a speech. I choose instead to read the transcripts. The ever-present obfuscations and lies, the constant demeaning of any opposing voices (per Saul Alinsky) as well as an inbred inability to accept any responsibility while delivering virtually all his speeches and press conferences in a narcissistic and haughty demeanor caused my patience quotient to be breeched.
Unfortunately I cannot always avoid hearing clips from his pronouncements on the radio or television. Such was the case today. In a town hall meeting in Iowa last night Mr. Obama, while bemoaning how unkind the fates have been to him after doing so much to resuscitate the economy, claimed that over 2 million private sector jobs had been created since he assumed office but that the Arab Spring, a tsunami in Japan, the Republicans etc etc had all conspired to reverse all his hard work to save the America.

I ws actually thinking about this this morning.
Compare what obama has dealt with and what GWB had to deal with on a much vaster scale that directly involved our country, beginning with 9/11 and it makes obama look insane.

The real story is that even over those cherry-picked 17 months Obama brags about, the job gains were insufficient to keep up with the growth in the economy. Over 17 months we’d need closer to 3 million jobs to do that, not 2 million.
So even for that one segment of his time in office he wants to focus on, we were falling still further behind in employment.

He painted a picture that doesn’t exist.
After 9/11 we thought the economy would be doomed. But we came back stronger than ever. I remember there were so many jobs that companies were trying to woo back retirees. President Bush had a lot of faults, but high unemployment wasn’t one of them (until the housing market crashed at the end of his term). The economy started to tank when the democrats took over the last two years of his second term. I think the Republicans need to beat this drum more.
I am no mathologist or clever gubment number cruncher but I had the exact same thoughts on his whopper of a lie. I said to myself, self if this POS added 2 million private sector jobs then how come the unemployment rate increased from 7 something percent when he took office to over 9 percent now? Of course the answer is obvious because I am just too stupid to understand how these things are done using the right kind of math because you have to account for all those boomers retiring and then you have to divide the whosit by the whatsit and cool you dipstick optimizer over the frimfram. Common sense seems to be a rare commodity anymore and it is sad to have a president with such low moral fiber that he finds it so natural to lie to the people of this wonderful country.

Compulsive liar or sociopath? How about a third choice?
What's the word for someone who is the current leader of a long term effort to deliberately tear the system down and then fundamentally restructure and rebuild it into something else?
If you add in that third choice, then I'd go with 'all of the above'.
Look around. They're winning. That's why obama goes on so many vacations. He's earned them, a reward for a job well done.
No one has brought the once mighty United States of America this close to the edge before, but obama has.
