Make no mistake. The riots we saw play out in London and the greater UK may have involved thuggery and looting, but the driving force was much the same as the protests, riots, and uprisings we saw in the middle east in the first half of 2011. As in the middle east (specifically, Tunisia), the catalyst for the London riots involved a single person, in this case a teenager who was reportedly beaten by police. In response and looking for any reason to rebel and revolt, large masses of people, namely those living in poverty in the UK, organized and then headed for town squares, where the burned, pillaged and fought. While the London riots are being written off by many as nothing more than a bunch of vagrants and welfare recipients looking to loot small businesses, there is a strong likelihood that similar incidents will play out on the streets of America. In fact, it can be argued that this is what we are seeing already, as groups of teenagers and gangs are organizing via social networks and subsequently causing chaos, violence and looting.

This is exactly right! It is part of the Marxist tactics to create so much chaos as to demand more intervention by the federal government. The purpose is to give the fed, Obama, a reason to declare martial law and a government take over.

It's a culture war and it goes on all the time. Music, films, clothes, language, etc. The basic premise is that no universally applicable form of law exists, and that the American legal system, having evolved from British common law, is a 'white' structure, racist to the core, that cannot be fairly applied to blacks.

This is the norm for large cities today. Most want entitlement, that's their idea of justice and the result of having been schooled in affirmative action ideology and the 'we wuz slaves' mentality that they will never abandon.

The working guy who gets the hell out of the city at 5pm knows what this mentality has done to the cities over the last 25 or so years. Not a pretty picture. I don't know how city cops deal with it.

They call black conservatives 'sellouts,' traitors and 'Uncle Toms'. That's because the label 'racist' is reserved for whites. All whites. If you are white, you are 'racist'. It is simply their way of saying 'the enemy' in this barely disguised war against whites. Don't act surprised at that language!

The term 'racist' is meant to silence whites and is really about wealth and power. The power to confiscate wealth. This goes far, far beyond paying a bit more in taxes. The left wants total control.

I tried warning people of this kind of thing as the police get cowed because in a nation of 300 million people (USA) a small handful of freaks get themselves killed each year when the police are forced to deal with them, and then the police are attacked as “Jackboots” - meanwhile the criminals get more and more emboldened.

And then what did we see in the UK?

A criminal pulls out an illegal gun, thereby getting himself shot dead by the police and full scale rioting in several cities ensued because the criminals knew people don’t come out in support of their police and saw an opportunity to go ape.

Then the police were too intimidated to respond effectively because they would be in more trouble if a rioter/looter/arsonist got himself killed by them. The criminals knew this and acted like savages while people hid in their homes wondering what happened to the police.

I warned about all this in several recent news item here on FR and what did I get? A reasonable discussion? An appreciative thank you for spending my time to educate?

No. All I got were flames from the few dozen Cop Haters, most all of whom are suspiciously absent from these UK riot stories.

I hear this all the time about how the Marxist loves chaos, and how this chaos always benefits the Marxist. There's one key element people always leave out when making this assertion: THE MARXIST MUST BE ABLE TO CONTROL THE CHAOS! If they can't control the chaos, they are by definition, NO LONGER IN POWER. Doubt me? Just ask Nicolae Ceaușescu how that chaos worked out for him and his wife Elena in 1989. On second thought don't waste your time...they're dead. ;-)

I’m concerned about that DofR. We’re supposed to be camping out with the scout troop several hours from home near a large city. I told hubby that I’m driving up there (get-home bags packed and loaded) and will hit for home like a bat outta he** if it looks like that crap is actually going to hit there.

Still not real happy about going tho.
