When Governor Palin arrived in Iowa yesterday Ben Smith of Politico tweeted:
On the way to the Palin mob, ran into a furious Fox crew who hadnt been given a heads up.
Ben also writes:
Palin also gave extended interviews to CNNs Don Lemon and ABCs Jake Tapper. Fox had a camera at the event, but none of its on-air correspondents appeared at her hourlong press conference.
Evidently Fox didnt take it lightly and decided to get even. So they sent out Carl Cameron to lie, spin and make stuff up, twice in 90 seconds:
First he said this.
Shes been saying for month really that she might run if she felt that there was not someone that could carry the type of constitutional message that she thinks is important. But today she said she might be able to support Rick Perry, the Texas Governor, whos going to get into the race tomorrow, she might be able to support Mitt Romney, the national front runner, or anybody else, she said, on the republican side, because shes an anybody but Obama candidate. The fact that shes signaling potential support for others may be yet another sign that shes backing away from the race.
Nice making stuff up Carl, here is what Palin really said.
Asked by a reporter is she would be enthusiastic about Rick Perry being the nominee she responded.
If at the end of the line hes the one left standing I would be extremely enthused about him because Im a believer in ABO Anybody But Obama.
What she said is that if at the end of the line, like at the end of the nomination process, whether shes in or out, Perry is the nominee, or any other candidate for that matter, she would support them because anyone would be better than Obama.
Ill go out on a limb here, but I think its a safe bet that if you ask any of the other candidates if they would support the eventual nominee theyll all say they would support that candidate no matter who it might be. So how exectly does that suggest that Palin is backing off from running?
Cameron must have missed the various shots Governor Palin took at Perry:
Since she works for Fox, it would be seen as an ethical lapse if she gave Fox a heads up. She didn’t give anyone a heads up, and Fox News had as good a chance of catching up with her as the rest. If they missed out, or stayed home in a snit, that was their problem.
Do we care?
Cark Caneron IS a girlie man and a suck up to the neo con contingency.
Kristol, Barnes, Krauthamer - never take their advice on a candidate. They are all in the tank for some ruling class fool.
Carl Cameron is the problem. I believe G. B. had a problem with him also.
Carl was the one who “leaked” information at the end of the 2008 campaign to make Sarah look bad. His reporting can’t be trusted when it comes to her.
What shots did Sarah take at Rick Perry?
Fox had announced for a couple of days prior that she was going to be there so this is BS.
FOX continues to disappoint.
They’re becoming part of the problem.
Carl also broke the Bush DUI story in the 2000 election.
Exactly, Cameron was the one who, barely containing his glee, reported on camera some false lies (Palin being a diva; thinking Africa was a country, etc.) from some hoaxter, who claimed to be part of the McCain debate team. He was like a tittering schoolgirl who couldn’t wait to spread some hot gossip. It was repellent. It was then spread to the other networks and eventually became more than a week’s worth of fodder for the late-night comedians. Never a retraction.
I’ve loathed that bastard ever since.
She also gave an interview with Hannity.
Side note: Did anyone catch Hannity’s show last week when he had ex NFL player I believe his name is Spencer Timmerman on his panel? Hannity was wearing Timmerman’s superbowl ring and just at the break he threw his nerf football and along with it went flying Timmermans ring. When the show returned he was not wearing the ring anymore. Those rings cost about 30K I believe.
And on FNS they promoed her but never mentioned her.....
FOX getting closer to calling yet another female contender “a flake”.
Carl Cameron is Shep Smith’s lover.
Every time I saw him, he was never walking, he was running and dodging like he was trying to avoid personal contact with people, not like he was late for a speech, etc. He resembled a spear. LOL!
Kristol, Barnes, Krauthamer - never take their advice on a candidate. They are all in the tank for some ruling class fool.
Couldn’t agree more.
... and it’s a blog.
IMO, Carl Cameron has been a Palin hater from the moment she appeared on the national scene in 2008.
