One of presidential candidate Michele Bachmanns major political opponents is defending her against what it says is blatant sexism on the part of Newsweek magazine.
Monday, the National Organization for Women (NOW) spoke out against Newsweeks most recent cover, which features an extreme close-up of Michele Bachmann and the title The Queen of Rage.
Its sexist, NOW president Terry ONeill told TheDC. Casting her in that expression and then adding The Queen of Rage I think [it is]. Gloria Steinem has a very simple test: If this were done to a man or would it ever be done to a man has it ever been done to a man? Surely this has never been done to a man.

Why would the harpy’s at NOW want to get ahead of this?

To: Rufus2007
Somehow I can see this really galling NOW to do this.
Odd though that they didn’t lift a finger during all the crap that Palin went through.

They’re probably doing it now because of all the flak they got for not defending Palin, including many Hillary! supporters bailing on them (and taking their financial support with them).

NOW took a stand for Michele Bachmann? ? ? I don’t believe it. This story has to be from the “Onion.”

It doesn’t make any sense. The photo was pretty typical of what the media does to conservative women but mild compared to some of what we’ve seen.

I suspect that it is simply because NOW fears the outside possibility that maybe, just maybe, Bachmann really IS the prophesied “Queen of Rage”.
If so, that would make her the boss of them.
