Ive been seeing and hearing too many Tea Party members claiming that the debt deal is a win for the Tea Party.
Be careful, the MSM is where this claim began and they are using it because they foresee a need to place blame in the not too distant future.
The claim that the Tea Party won the debt debate is a talking point from the progressives.
If you are claiming victory now, then you are also taking ownership of the future blame.

I don’t know of any Tea Party members making this claim; rather I hear it from the Leftists and GOP establsihment types like Krauthammer, Ingraham, McConnell, and Boner.
Yup. When the MSM propaganda rags like NYT, wapo collectively have the same headlines...you know it’s a trap.
The “Tea Party” can’t own the budget deal, because the Tea Party doesn’t exist. You act like it’s some monolithic entity rather than a very loose association of people with somewhat similar political views. No one person or organization speaks for the Tea Party. The Tea Party as a political party is itself a media creation.
I hope Boner and McConnell (and of course the snarky Bit*h Laura Ingraham) heard Obama bragging about what he was about to do with his 2 Trillion dollar stash freely given to him by the idiots on our side, and the triggers benefitting the Left built into this POS legislation. Can you say say tax increases...FOR EVERYBODY?!?! There will be NO cuts!
But hey, according to Laura...”We have to take what we can get...” I just know these guys heard Obama’s press conference today relaizing they fu*ked up bigtime. Of course they won’t admit it...but they know.
Laura, you’re NO culture warrior, you’re a fraud who attacked millions of Tea Party members this past week, once again demanding we sit in the back of the bus and eat our crap sandwich. Good luck with your dumb book...i won’t be buying it!
I guarantee you they did not hear, but the markets did, around the world. Our new reality will be pundit free. Painful though.
Same here. Every Tea Partier I know is pissed, and definitely not feeling like a winner.

If anything it is a constipated grass roots movement with no solid platform except cut spending, no new taxes, No more friggin borrowing.
It will take a independant Pres candidate leader with morals to make it a real Party.
Palin? Just throwing it out there.
I didn't know I STARTED saying that.
66 GOPers House members voted Nay as did 26 ( Both Parties ) in the Senate.
The next one is going to be even bloodier.
You didn’t hear it from me, this feels more like a knife in the back. My rep cory gardner is ether stupid lied through his teath to get elected. He’s toast!
Some on FR seem to think partial victory, since we only have 1/3 of government, we should be happy with what GOP accomplished...Too late for me to find but have seen several threads...and replies to me that I was incorrect, misinformed, or too negative, etc.
America lost.
Again.
Democrats bamboozle republicans.
Again.
We didn’t win sh1t but false promises and more debt.
Decreases in automatic baseline budget increases are NOT cuts!!!
When you spend less than you did the year before, THAT is cuts.
Control the language and you get to frame the debate.
“Be careful, the MSM is where this claim began and they are using it because they foresee a need to place blame in the not too distant future.”
I devoutly hope that all my fellow Tea Partiers are ready to up their energy level and get really active going into 2012.
We need to dwarf the turnout for the 2010 elections, and convince a lot more independents that America needs to return to her principles!
2012 is a crucial election year, it is a real chance to save our country. I truly fear for America if a new, sane administration doesn’t win.
Palin ‘12!!!
Old picture - at least 18 months old. The per taxpayer share of the federal debt is up to $130,000.
