She echoed the talking points of the RINO's that raising the debt ceiling was a foregone conclusion and "we might as well get something in return for" it. That's pretty weak-knee'd leadership. You should apply for a post on MSNBC, you are a great spinner! She clearly stated that raising the debt ceiling was the wrong thing to do, and she did not support it but she did not have confidence in the current Republican leadership to push Cut, Cap, and Balance, so she expects them to fold, and we need to get the best deal that we can when they do. I did not get one single RINO warning signal listening to her. On the contrary, she sounded like someone who would butt heads with the weak politics as usual crowd in Congress. The American people do not want politics or deals, they want solutions.

I wish Sarah would announce on the morning of August 4th......Obama’s birthday.
The frown on Obama’s face would put a smile on mine.

I saw Sarah at a Tea Party rally once and I was mesmerized by her courage and forcefulness of convictions.
Only she, and she alone, has the ability to stop the ObamaNation.
This is why I will rally to campaign for her when she decides to seek the highest office of the land, and I will proudly march into the polling station on election day to wield my vote for her and America!

Sarah Palins Alaska Trailer: "Id Rather Be Doing This Than Be In Some Stuffy Old Political Office." Do you understand the concepts of duty and responsibility?
Yes, I do understand the concepts of duty and responsibility and I do not see them in Sarah Palin.
See Post 32.
As the old saying goes, "When the going gets tough, the tough get going."
When the going got tough for Sarah Palin in the Governorship of Alaska that she was entrusted with ......
Instead of fighting the blackmail of nuisance lawsuits, she made it be known that the blackmail of nuisance lawsuits works to send a Governor running.
Running where?
To cash in.
To cash in doing stupid Reality TV shows with tabloid queens like Kate Gosselin.
Palin and Gosselin in the Mother of All Reality Shows
To cash in with $100,000 per pop speeches.
To cash in to the tune of $12 million two years after she quit.
April 15, 2010: Sarah Palin income 12 million dollars since leaving office
Yes, I understand the concepts of duty and responsibility. I have a Retirement Certificate from the U.S. Navy hanging on my wall but I get no retirement pay.
Why? How I can be "retired" but get no retirement pay?
Because, the Navy has me classified as "Honorarily Retired".
After completing my active duty obligations as a Navy Medical Officer, I never resigned my commission. Yet, I did not do the "weekend warrior" drills because I was on call 24/7 as the only one of my medical specialty in an under-served rural county.
The Navy warned me that, unless I resigned my Navy commission, I could get recalled to active duty in time of war and that I would not get retirement points if I did not weekend drill. I was taking all of the risks and getting none of the bennies.
I told the Navy that I could not leave my county uncovered, that I knew that I would not get retirement pay and that I knew that I could be recalled to active in case of war.
I told the Navy that I knew all that, that I did not need their retirement and that, if they needed me, I would be there for them.
When the Gulf War came about, the Navy called, and I reported as called.
Twenty years after I was commissioned, the Navy sent me my Retirement Certificate and took me off the rolls of Reserve officers subject to immediate active duty recall in time of war.
So, yes, I understand the concepts of duty and responsibility and I carried out my duty, as I saw it, above and beyond what the Navy expected ..... for NO money.
I did not QUIT.

Nah ... But nice try. Check my post history. I'm a huge Palin fan. My point is that anyone ... ANYONE ... EVEN PALIN ... who says raising the nation's credit limit is a "foregone conclusion" is not holding the same water as our freshmen Tea Party congressmen, and the Conservative congressmen they are working with, that have already denied the votes to Boehner he needs for his kick-the-can-ten-years bill. I like Palin. But she's human. And assuming the nation will fall apart if the credit limit isn't raised is erroneous. She echoed that mistake -- an honest mistake, I believe, but a mistake nonetheless -- in agreeing with the RINO crowd that more must inevitably be borrowed than cut. You like Palin, that makes you pretty intelligent, but don't strap the blinders on. I'll take that job at MSNBC, though. But only because they need someone to bring them back from the far left.

As the old saying goes, "When the going gets tough, the tough get going." So when Sarah enters the race, you'll post your real life name and opus out of FR, right?
Cheers!

How is that a cave exactly?
Her only mis-statement is in agreeing with the RINO's that raising the credit limit for the nation is a necessity. We could have a balanced-budget amendment without raising the debt ceiling. Heck, balanced budget amendments were being proposed back in the 1930's. Why exactly do we need to increase the opportunity to spend more if the intention is to cut spending? We don't. Not if the players are serious. And, happy day, enough of our Congressmen are serious to slow Boehner down. Maybe if she thought about it, Palin would join them. Certainly I will afford her that opportunity. I remain a huge fan.

Funny how Polybius totally ignored the fact that it was a Bristol Palin book signing and Sarah Palin was her guest. It would be rude for the guest to overshadow the headlining author. Hence the caveat on buying Bristol’s book.

She was backing exactly Jim DeMints position. Is he weak-kneed too?
I have not heard Jim DeMint echo that an increase in the national credit limit was a foregone conclusion. I have not heard that. If you point me to such information, I will remove a tally from Jim DeMint's column too. I don't expect anyone to be perfect, but I will certainly attempt to evaluate them all fairly and equally. Palin, Bachmann, Cain, DeMint have tally marks to spare. It will be hard to choose among them (assuming DeMint and Palin enter the race).

I know I don’t hear too well, but I’m sure I heard her say that she does not approve of raising the debt ceiling, but it looks like they are going to do it anyway, so we should get the best deal possible.

I think you heard correctly. That's what I got out of it too. But consider that for a moment. She stood on the sidelines and said they are going to do it anyway so we might as well get something out of it. Let's apply that concept of leadership in another scenario ... "prostitutes are going to sell sex anyway, we might as well get income tax out of it." Or ... "dopers are going to smoke weed anyway, we might as well get sales tax out of it." Saying that habitual spenders are going to continue to rape America, so we might as well get something out of it is not acceptable. I think she mis-spoke. And I think when she reviews her position she will correct it. Certainly the Palin I voted for when she campaigned with McWhathisname would not stand for such political relativism.

Obama, the media, democrats, shills for the democrats are all repeating the mantra...the government is disfunctional. Well, lets look at it....who over the past 50 have made it disfunctional....Harvard, Yale, Princton types....all of the educational elites....and all who denegrate Mrs.Palin. Perhaps we need an intlelligent, experienced, NON-elitist to run the country. Perhaps a Palin/Bachmann ticket would work.
I have thought for some time that Palin was waiting for the process of the budget work its way, all in public view. I believe Mrs. Palin will declare after Aug.2,2011.
