The Tea Party, Right About Everything
American Thinker ^ | 7-25-11 | Randall Hoven

The false narrative is that the Tea Party is a bunch of stubborn nuts, if not outright racists. In truth, the Tea Party has been right about everything, while almost everyone else has been nuts, especially the "experts."

“I have had pro-life events that our local “tea party” group refuses to advertise”

Understand the Tea Party is different in different area’s, which is why we are the United States, meaning more local control as the founders wanted it.

Our Tea Party here has supported anti-abortion meetings and strongly stands against gay marriage, so if this is your local critical issues are these make it happen at the Tea Party, because the Tea Party is the closest you can get to “We the People”. Meaning if you cannot get it to happen at the Tea Party meetings then it is not that critical to your group. We see morals as number 1 overall issue, fix it and we are on the path to fixing all other problems.

In Pgh, there is irrefutable proof that Planned Parenthood may be opening one of it’s supercenters. Our 9.12 group & Tea Party “leaders” won’t even disseminate that information.

This is not just a local thing. I have seen articles as well as TV interviews about Tea Party leaders distancing themeslves from social issues. While I agree with the Tea Party on fiscal policies, I am disappointed that they will not acknowledge that social policies are intertwined with fiscal ones.

It is also important to remember that if we are to eventually win the budget/debt battles we are going to have to bring the young (21-35y/o) voters on board. This a group that overwhelmingly voted for O’bama in 2008 and as a group could care less if gays marry and are not fanatics on the life question. They are, however, very concerned about their wallets. We have to get this group to understand that they are the ones who will be paying the bills for all this huge debt O’bama is accumulating.

On a side note many of them change their views on the other two issues after they marry and have children of their own.

The TEA party is Taxed Enough Already!

That is ALL they are. The ONLY thing they concentrate on is STOP SPENDING and NO MORE TAXES.

That is a HUGH problem and one we need to address one thing at a time. The reason the TEA party grew so big from the beginning is that it had TWO items on the plate and so very many Americans could relate.

Let’s fight this battle before it is too late and let the political parties fight out the social issues.

The whole point of the Tea Party is that the purse strings for social issues disappear. No more money for abortions, no more money for governmental control of social issues of all kinds. No need to get specific when you take the hands out of the cookie jar. I understand and appreciate the fact that the Tea Party(a grass roots political movement if there ever was one)is all of us who have no need to talk of social issues instead of money issues, because they are one in the same.

If you want to make abortion illegal, the Tea Party is not about that specifically. Is the Tea Party therefor worthless and to be spat upon?

That is sad, I know you have to have a couple people around you that feel the way you do. Have you been going to their meetings? I know in our meetings we spend anywhere from 15~30 minutes on open discussions where everybody has a chance to bring up an item. Not everybody does, but they all have a chance. We meet weekly and have focused on founding fathers, principles, and over the last year some documentaries on why we are where we are such as Agenda. I would recommend David Barton’s American Heritage series for starters. http://www.wallbuilders.com/MED_ahs.asp
Another one is The Silencing of God from www.wvbs.org
Understanding the Founding Fathers and what drove them is critical to understanding what this country was founded on. Once you have a strong grasp of these principles it is obvious Abortion and gay marriage are things that tear down then morals of the nation, thus destroying the nation in the long run. Why did Rome fall? How many times in the bible did the Jews raise and fall from power? Get the Tea Party to use these videos and discuss.

Most of all Pray and Good Luck.

You mean they don’t embrace social engineering, which is anti-freedom, anti-American and anti-human.

It wasn’t long ago that freedom loving people taught their children that social engineering destroys freedom and individual liberty. They were teaching it to the military until last week when Obama and Panetta destroyed them with ‘a stroke of the pen’.

You comment marks you as a social engineer.

Abortion on demand & changing the definition of marriage is social engineering. I embrace neither, therefore I am not a social engineer.

You on the other hand, sound like a godless atheist.

Reduce the federal government to their constitutional limits and to one tenth the current size. Government involvement in social issues then becomes unnecessary and un-affordable.

Unless you want it to. If you do, you can form your own "SIP" Social Issues Party and just drink tea.

I see nothing wrong with the Tea Party focusing on fiscal issues. There are some folks who are just not comfortable dealing with social issues. That’s OK. As long as they don’t start denigrating we who ARE interested in Social Issues, and are willing to discuss and fight for them, I’m fine with them staying with what they know. There are plenty of us who are comfortable with BOTH sets of issues.

The Tea Party refuses to embrace social issues like abortion & gay marraige. Until they do, they will be a failure. Social issues go hand-in-hand with fiscal ones. Their unwillingness to admit that waters down their entire goal & they will fail. Period.—————

It’s not about the Tea party refusing to ‘embrace social issues’. The Tea party is about not forcing American taxpayers to pay for other people’s abortions, and ‘benefits’ from gay ‘marriage’.

Social issues got hand in hand with fiscal ones is propaganda.

The left’s unwillingness to tolerate other’s beliefs is the real problem. so they try to FORCE them.

Tea party is about not letting government use the citizenry as open ended credit cards for the left’s and the right’s ‘social’ dreams, at least to the extent it crashes our country.

so you are way off base, but then maybe you’re just paid to put that propaganda out? Or do JournOlista’s get paid? Oh yeah, by it being taken from taxpayers.

Actually neither one thankyou very much.

Your message is important, why would you co opt a Tea Party rally with it?

Preventing abortion starts at home, not at the Tea Party. The message of the sanctity of life is not the point of a tea party rally.

Fighting Alinsky means staying en point with your message.

Your message needs it’s own venue,in houses of worship, in people’s homes, in community gatherings, to fight the corruption of the global communists. Each and every point needs to be fought on its own now, since we know they have brought Alinsky to the fight.
