And just how does O'Reilly come up with THAT nonsense? If our 19% isn't that influential, how on earth could we possibly keep a compromise from happening? And if the economy gets worse, it won't be because there wasn't a compromise, it will be because the Congress is continuing its profligate spending, and the Tea Party will have had NOTHING to do with that.
As for our 'credit rating', if it's a 50/50 chance that it will blow up, if we DON'T raise the ceiling, there's an equal chance that it WON'T, if we don't raise it.
I watch Bill O'Reilly because he has a lively, fast-paced show and good guests. However, I do this with the full realization that O'Reilly is clueless about the TEA Party and political conservatism or anything related to Christianity that isn't superficial (he refers to Jesus Christ as 'a philosopher'). Even so, Bill occasionally takes a fairly conservative point of view and he is usually at odds with the ever-annoying Geraldo Rivera and Alan Colmes. That noted, the fact that O'Reilly thinks the TEA party is 'extreme' for opposing raising the debt ceiling because their members also demand real spending cuts and no new 'revenue enhancements' (taxes) demonstrates his inability to grasp the reality of what the TEA party is and why it takes the stand it's adherents have on raising Obama's credit card limit. O'Reilly always hastens to correct any guest that calls him a conservative ansd says, emphatically, that he is not. Hey Bill, I believe you.
Perhaps BOR can contribute more of his paycheck to the gummit?

As a Tea Party disabled veteran, I will never compromise with the ObamaNation, nor will I ever support two-faced corrupt Republican politicians.
Too many of our military service members have died defending America from the evils that socialism and communism do to peaceful and liberty-loving citizens.
I am one voice out of my millions, but my one voice has one vote that will help stop the traitorous RINOS who compromise and thus sacrifice God, my family, and everything I believe in for the selfishness of the ObamaNation.
I wield my one vote as a counter to every liberal and progressive who will damn America into apocalyptic oblivion.

When we as a country can send Billions upon Billions of dollars to Libya and other terror supporting countries, along with Hundreds of billions more to countries in which we have no strategic interest or get no benefit from in return, there is no need to raise the debt ceiling or add a single tax until those monies are eliminated.
When We as a country can afford to fund dozens of alphabet agencies whose benefit to the country results in a net loss, there is no need to raise the debt ceiling or add a single tax until those monies and agencies are eliminated.
When We as a country can afford to fund uncounted thousands of ‘studies’ ‘grants’ and ‘social experiments’ including OBAMACARE that result in TRILLIONS of dollars solely to benefit liberal voters and causes, there is no need to raise the debt ceiling or add a single tax until those monies and agencies are eliminated.
After all these unneeded payouts are eliminated, you will find that the US of A is in fine and dandy financial shape and far from needing an increase in the debt ceiling. In fact, you will find we are so well off that we can LOWER taxes significantly.
That’s how you do things “for the folks” the right way Bill.

“O’Reilly, for some time I’ve been noticing your decline, but your rude berating of Laura Ingraham really takes the cake. First of all, what makes you think you are qualified to tell the Tea Party anything? The Tea Party has been innovating social change for the last three years, not presiding over the decline of a once-great cable news show, like you have. So you are hardly qualified to pedantically wag your finger at Americans. I guess you stopped “lookin out for the folks” and decided to become a preacher to “the folks.”
In addition, your unabashed kiss-up to Obama over the last two years turns my stomach, as well as most conservatives. Pretty soon you will be the new Bob Scheiffer. A liberal end to your once great contribution to Conservatism is saddening and repulsive. You won’t have me and a lot of other conservatives watching your show. After tonight we’ve decided to turn you off.
In your barrage of verbage with Laura Ingraham, you failed to grok the most important reason for the Tea Party’s “extremism.” Conservatives and Tea Partiers are smarter than you think. We instinctively understand that anything sent to Washington immediately gets watered down and moderated. In order to end up with any sort of acceptable solution, we have to start extreme, get it? It doesn’t mean we are idiots who think we are going to block the debt ceiling from being raised, we know its eventually going to get raised. But the Democrats have managed to define “balanced” as including tax increases. We are seeking to redefine the “middle” in American life. For that, you have to start off with an extreme position. Its a valid tactic that you have mistaken for bumpkinry.

We Americans for the most part spend what we have in our accounts to spend after the gov rips us off for a good part of it. They max out their creditcard and have the gall to ask that their limit be raised so Howdy Doody can max it out again and again. ENOUGH! If I can balance my account, then the politicians had better learn how to balance theirs before they find themselves in the unemployment line with the rest of the Americans they’ve screwed.
