CNN Anchor: Some Republicans Concerned Obama May Be Caving to Republicans on Debt Ceiling

CNN anchor Fredricka Whitfield apparently thinks some Republican players in the debt ceiling debate are concerned that President Obama is conceding too much. During the 12 p.m. EDT hour Friday, Whitfield alleged that many important players from both parties think Obama may be "caving" to Republicans.

"You know, there are a lot of players who are very concerned – Democrats and Republicans who are concerned – and particularly Democrats are concerned that the president may be giving up too much in order to come about a deal," Whitfield remarked while stumbling over her words.

Whitfield explained that in pushing an agenda of compromise, of including spending cuts and tax increases in a debt ceiling plan, President Obama may be "caving," according to some "very concerned" members of the debate.

A transcript of Whitfield's comments, which aired on July 22 at 12:10 p.m. EDT, is as follows:

FREDRICKA WHITFIELD: So, what's interesting -- the president keeps the using the word "compromise." But then there are others who are saying, is president compromising or is he caving? You know, there are a lot of players who are very concerned -- Democrats and Republicans who are concerned -- and particularly Democrats are concerned that the president may be giving up too much in order to come about a deal.

I wonder if Libertarians concerned, too?

This can’t be true. Surely all the people that said republicans would cave have got to be right. That’s right the ones who said it were trolls:)

Another lie by another media turd. They now are trying to make it sound like Republicans are siding with Obama against their own. The deceit of the media just deepens by the day. Disgusting.

Zer0 needs to cave to the future generations.

It should be expressed in those terms.

"MSM getting a little flustered?"

Nope--local government Republican constituents and the retail/services that serve them: teachers, firepersons, police, planning office folks, real estate, building offices, environmental, etc. Most employees and businesses now depend on big government.

...commissioners, social workers, developers, pensioners, civil engineers, administrators,... Our country is saturated with constituents for big government and not only at the federal level. That’s what happens, after most of the men’s (manufacturing) jobs are moved to other countries.

“Whitfield remarked while stumbling over her words. “

That happens when you are trying to follow a set of talking points from the DEMS, and you are short of reasonable explanations.

Why would Republicans be concerned Obama may cave to Republicans?

Because if u have not heard, 15 GOP Senators signed on to The Six Gangters Plan, even though there is no plan, just talking points.

I am guessing these are some of the GOP that are most disappointed.
