According to police, last week 36-year-old Heidi Knowles at Taco Bell with her three day old son. Knowles then approached a woman who was eating and handed her the child. Before the confused woman could respond, Knowles stated that the infant could be hers for the price of $500.
Unsurprisingly, the woman refused and quickly called 9-1-1. Knowles was arrested soon after for outstanding warrants at Kay's TV Motel; bail was set for $50,000 and she was charged with "attempted child selling/child buying." Her son was put into protective custody.
Police stated that Knowles appeared to be under the influence at the time of her arrest.

Do you want hot, mild, or fire sauce with that order?

What a sad society we have raised.
What city was that?

All things considered, the world would be better off if some good parents did pay her $500 for the baby.
Agree!
I think I would have “bought” the baby and then called 911.
And if it’s anything like my state, the woman will have the baby handed right back to her by the authorities.
Ya have to take a test to get a drivers license, you have to pass a test to graduate high school. Why not make folks take a test before they cna have babies??
I wonder how many women eating at Taco Bell, just happen to have an extra $500 in their purse?
What happens to the people that don’t pass the test?
You really want the Obama administration having control over whether you are determined eligible to breed?
Ive never seen that on the menu.
I did not know motels could issue warrants.
I may not be an English major but "Journalists" need to improve their grammar.
Due to the local Taco Bell, I’m seeing in my minds eye a baby wrapped up like a burrito complete with shredded lettuce.
Thanks Taco Bell.
All things considered...she didn’t have an abortion and she didn’t pull a Casey Anthony...
“I think I would have “bought” the baby and then dialed 911”
A group of friends and I were discussing this type of case several months ago (when another similar case had occurred). We actually all agreed that we would “purchase” the baby immediately in order to remove it from the parent and then contact the authorities. The main concept being that the so called Mom wouldn’t be able to “sell” the child to a bad person prior to the police showing up. Great minds...
