Air Force General Gary North Revealed To Have Denied Wounded Troop Purple Heart Medal
Military Corruption Dot Com ^ | 07-11-2011 | Major Glenn MacDonald US Army (ret.)

GEN. GARY NORTH (THE "BLOAT-FACED BULLY") REVEALED TO HAVE DENIED WOUNDED WARRIOR PURPLE HEART WHILE HELPING PAMPERED PET JILL METZGER $CORE 100% "DISABILITY" RATING MEDICALLY RETIRED MAJ NATHAN GREEN SAYS HE HOPES AIR FORCE BIG SHOT "ROTS IN HELL" GOT PURPLE HEART AWARD ONLY AFTER NORTH MOVED ON FROM AFCENT - 90% DISABLED VET HAD FOUR SURGERIES ON EARS - KNOCKED OUT COLD FROM CLOSE ROCKET BLAST IN IRAQ - "WE CAN'T JUST GIVE EVEYONE WITH A BUMP ON THE HEAD THE PURPLE HEART." - GEN. NORTH

The same bully-boy general who steamrolled Jill Metzger's specious 100% "disability" rating (she arrogantly ran in both the Air Force and Marine Corps Marathons while collecting "disabled" pay on TDRL) cruelly denied a wounded warrior his Purple Heart award in Iraq.

Gary North, the most despised and feared four-star general in the U.S. military, shot down without explanation the endorsed paperwork for now-retired Maj. Nathan Green, MilitaryCorruption.com has learned.

Green was nearly killed April 20, 2008 when an insurgent 122mm rocket struck the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad. Two Americans were seriously wounded in the rocket and mortar barrage. The officer was knocked unconscious by the blast. The rocket landed some 30 feet away, before Green could safely make it to the shelter of a bunker.

INJURIES FORCED OFFICER INTO MEDICAL RETIREMENT

The 34 year-old field-grade is now retired. Green suffers from constant migraine headaches, vertigo, TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and has endured four surgeries on his ears to repair damage to his hearing from the loud explosion.

"After 11 years of active duty and two combat tours, I was medically discharged and rated 90% disabled, yet Jill Metzger's protector would deny me the Purple Heart for my injuries? My commanding officer was stunned when word came back from AFCENT that North had denied the award. It was only after North left and got another star that the paperwork was re-submitted and, this time, sailed through the red tape with no problem."

Stunned that North would do what he did, Green inquired through an informed source as to the bully-boy general's "reason" for his action. He was told that North sputtered: "We just can't have everyone who gets a bump on the head receiving the Purple Heart."

MAJ. GREEN'S ADVICE TO NORTH: "ROT IN HELL"

"A bump on the head, he says? How many other legitimate PH's has North disallowed? How dare he push for the likes of Metzger to get a 100% "disability" when many in the Air Force feel she is a liar and a fraud? It is cruel what he did - may he rot in hell! We shouldn't play games with injured troops. If there is anything that should be non-political, it is that."

We have seen the endorsements for the award, both original and re-submission. The medical records and Green's treatment at Walter Reed confirm his injuries. Both blood and pus have poured from the officer's damaged ears. The records show "evidence of scar tissue" which "indicates a perforated right eardrum." Green has tinnitus and "debilitating headaches" that cause him insomnia and constant pain.

When this writer was visiting the old battlefield on Corregidor back in 2005, he saw a WWII photograph of dead artillerymen on "the rock" who had been killed without a scratch on their bodies. A Japanese shell had landed on Battery Geary and the force of the blast burst the soldiers eardrums as they sought shelter in a blast bunker. The same fate could have killed Maj. Green.

There are many things Gary North should be ashamed of (see related stories box below). This is just another in a long list. As one officer called him, "the Hermann Goering" of the U.S. Air Force is "untouchable and completely out-of-control."

I remember the Air Force Times running the stories about Gen. North screwing those 2 C-17 Pilots in that Blackwater Road Rage case/incident in Afghanistan. Will the Senate and the President make him the next AF Chief of Staff?

I believe that a praying mantis has more concern for the well being of their offspring then Gen. North has for anybody else. He seems to have a very vicious asocial personality. One day the axe he wields will fall on his own head.

That Jill Metzger scandal was shocking, and they got away with it, it seems that we and Kyrgyzstan have been at odds ever since.

Don't you mean when Obama declares a State of Emergency? Or were you simply referring to the most corrupt election process that America will ever see?

“Officer and a gentleman” doesn’t mean what it used to.

How does this meet any legal or commonsense definition of “corruption”? Lacking a showing this was done for reasons other then as a judgment call, the worst you can call it is a mistake.

Reporters working an undisguised vendetta generally aren’t accorded much credibility. For obvious reasons.

>>> “And yet, Predator Drone Pilots get Bronze Stars from frickin Arizona!”

And if the Predator pilots meet the criteria, why not? The provisions for the Bronze Star include:

c. Awards may be made for acts of heroism, performed under circumstances described above, which are of lesser degree than required for the award of the Silver Star.

d. The Bronze Star Medal may be awarded for meritorious achievement or meritorious service according to the following:

(1) Awards may be made to recognize single acts of merit or meritorious service. The lesser degree than that required for the award of the Legion of Merit must nevertheless have been meritorious and accomplished with distinction.

In other words, eligibility isn’t limited to directly jumping on the back of a Tiger Tank.

The Predator pilots are doing fine work killing Jihadists. Good for them. And if they can rack up the kill without giving the Taliban a chance to shoot them back, so much the better.

Bronze Stars are are only awarded to troops in a combat zone that are not participating in aerial flight. I doubt that these pilots in AZ would qualify.

More likely they would qualify for a Meritorious Service Medal.
