By George -- I think you've got it! The Dems have never had a plan, except getting the R's to do what they want. It is always the plan and normally the R's do just that. But, some of them had the fear of God put into them last election and are realizing that the country is actually in trouble and they need to stop the madness.
I think it would help if the Republicans actually started getting in front of a microphone and telling the American people that this guy has no plan except raising taxes and then spending that money as well. Can somebody in the Republican party start pointing out daily that the Dems haven't put out a budget for 2 years, whereas the Republicans put together and passed a budget out of the Congress.

We should simply tell Obama that the House will vote on the Obama plan when it is presented.

McConnell and Beohner have a front-row seat to exactly how much pressure Obama is under and what he can/cannot stand. The rest of the members are going on hearsay.
I think the addition of this plan with all its details and how it may/may not corner him might just send Obama around the bend. I for one am entertaining the idea that McConnell is crazy like a fox.

Hey Obama. Look at the polls. You lost. 75 % of the American people do not want your debt ceiling raised. Get over it. We all know the only reason it needs to be raised now is because of your out of control spending. So yes. Come to us.

Raising taxes is off the table. And as long as the GOP hold firm that is a winner.
Obama needs to present $2 Trillion in cuts that have not come so far. There is enough income to the government to service the debt and not default with money left to pay SS.
