In a politically-correct media culture, what they call a “religion of peace” is often sheltered from critical-thinking questions. One example: Recently, in Ethiopia hundreds of Muslim radicals were sentenced for mob attacks on Christians. But the story doesn’t help the Left so it has been ceremonially downplayed or hidden by numerous campaigning newspapers.
The following Reuters report was buried in The New York Times:
A court has sentenced 558 people to prison terms ranging from six months to 25 years for attacks on Christians that displaced thousands and led to the burning of 69 churches. Mobs of Muslim youths attacked Protestants near the town of Asendabo in March after rumors circulated that desecrated pages of the Koran had been found at a church construction site.
Islamic radicals (and their enablers) are creating a new generation of innocent refugees. We’re talking “Mobs of Muslim youths” because Christophobia, in this case – is not just for the old. The mob is hysterical, violent, paranoid, and, yes driven by wild rumors. “They burned some pages of the Koran? Let’s kill ‘em!” The feral seeks Christian blood, but few celebrities will run to the Church’s rescue. For real courage never wins you cocktail party kisses.
Another impolite truth: when a Christian’s Bible is burned, your representative Christian would pray for his or her enemy, after analyzing the facts, or simply move on. In other words, Christianity is closer to a religion of peace, undermining both religiously-correct Muslim and politically-correct media talking points, hence the lack of coverage.
