Transformers: Dark of the Moon, the third in the Transformers series, is in some ways the perfect summer movie. A movie where you can turn off your brain, ignore reality, and simply enjoy sugar sweet Hollywood mayhem.
The movie starts with a basic concept: that the space race in the Cold War was focused on reaching the moon first, not for its scientific achievement, but to obtain alien technology that both the Soviets and Americans secretly knew had crashed on the dark side of the moon millenia ago. Americans, led by Neil Armstrong, get there first...but keep the information hidden.

You seem to confuse posting an article and excerpting an article.
The two are not the same.
Spielberg has been running on empty since his first billion dollars. Once a hard-charging outsider, he has become just another brain dead Hollywood Liberal, with contempt for us commoners. “Super 8” was awful. “Falling Skies” follows in the same tradition: bad plot, badly executed. All talk, talk, talk. Cheesy FX. Dialogue so bad the writers should be shot. Dark camera work to hide the poor production values. Another “kids save the world” chestnut. It will make its 13 weeks and then disappear, unmourned and unnoticed.
Agreed. Hell, half of that blog was a poster for the flick. And not even one with a decent shot of the chick he drools all over in his pimped blog.
I agree that is pretty frustrating. So why isn’t he banned?
I don’t know if it’s frustrating, it just marks him as a turd. His threads often turn pretty fun. I’ve never hit the abuse button on him, I just know he’s a blog pimp, don’t click on his link and join the rest of the discussion. He’s really the one missing out by pulling the pimp and run.
True dat. I always enjoy the back and forth on Neo's threads with my venerable and esteemed anti-blogging adversaries like humblegunner, (with whom I probably agree on 91.7% of everything else, except blogging). Yeah, HG that's another buttstat. ;-)
I saw the one that had well defined characters and a coherent narrative and visual style. As contrasted with most summer films these days (especially the Transformers films)
Adding fractions to buttstats lends credibility.
‘Super 8’ was NOT a Spielberg film. It was a tribute to him from a younger filmmaker.
Michael Bay loves filming in Chicago. The city has done lots of things to draw film making money. The Dark Knight was filmed here too.
I am not going bother reading the rest of your article on your web site. Please post the entire article for everyone to read. Thank you.
That said, I thought Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon wasn’t too bad for a summer movie. One criticism that I have is that it was too long. I am sure this will be one of the must see summer films.
Will it be on my most liked or best film this year? No. I can think of others I have seen this year that were better over all.
It’s the “blog” section, where you post what you found on blogs. It is not the “blog pimp” section where 99% of your posts are simply links to your blog entries, excerpted of course to force traffic to your ad-supported blog. Yes, this is a way of making money off of us.
See, we do agree on stuff. :-)
Sure we do.
We wouldn’t be here if we didn’t.
Us? Is your last name Robinson?
If so delete the thread, if not how does "us" apply?
I don't know about second but it dman sure breaks the top ten!
Blob pimps aren't going to make much money off of just Jim hitting their blogs. They rely on the ad impressions of thousands of FReepers -- "us".
