Science And Technology

Product Status

Manufacturing And Factories
Our first factory is already in preparation phase, located in Xanthi, Northern Greece. It
has the following characteristics:
6,000m2 space
Maximum production capacity of 300,000 units annually (kW and MW products)
IT for monitoring the production line and product support
Technical support to distribution channels
The assembly of products will include the following activities:
Assembly of reactors (purchased from Defkalion)
Build-up of final product (electronics, heat management, etc)
Quality Control and Total Quality Management and Environmental Control
Stress Tests and Functional Tests of end products
Recharging of units
Recycling procedures
The second factory is scheduled to be built in Xanthi within 2012, comprising of 12,000m2 for a larger assembly line. A third factory, belonging to Praxen Defkalion Green Technologies (Global) Ltd., shall operate as the producer of the industrial secret as the products kernel.
Total staff requirements for both factories will be around 380, and include technical expertise in the fields of: mechanical engineering, engineering, electronics, plumbing, data management, and auxiliary.
The 1MW Hyperion will be inaugurated in Q4 of 2011 with its production phase to commence in Q1 of 2012. This first 1MW reactor will be the first large scale unit based on multiples of the smaller Hyperion models in array. It will be used to partially cover the energy needs of the factory. It shall also be used as a show case unit.
With three factories located in Xanthi, the region shall gain in employment but also become an international hub where global investors and partners will visit the factory for business and product viewings.
Product Range
Although Hyperion models produce only heat energy, electricity can be generated with the application of existing third party technology. With regards to electricity generation, consumers will be able to receive a total solution based on mutually confirmed interoperability with third party technologies such as steam turbines and micro-steam turbines, Rankin new generation CHP, as well as intelligent heat management systems.
Hyperion products have different configurations, most notably:
Series A: Single tube single module CHP: By this configuration, 5-10Kw heat power will be released to operate micro-CHP/micro turbine configurations
Series B: Multi tube single module CHP: By this configuration, multiples of 5 or 10Kw heat power (max 30kW) can be integrated in the same box , when product has to operate (heat) bigger CHP/micro-CHP or steam turbine configurations
Series C: Single tube single module heat only: By this configuration, 5-10Kw heat power will be released to operate small steam or hot water demands such as agricultural applications (green houses)
Series D: Multi tube single module heat only: By this configuration, multiples of 5Kw heat power can be integrated in the same box , when product has to produce substantial amounts of heat for energy demanding applications
Series E: Single or multi tube modules in parallel: To face the energy demands of big industrial installations at the range of MWs. Such products consists of arrays of A, B, or D series rack-mounted

They’ve had one running for 2 years, supplying electricity for a small factory. They had 97 in prototype stage a while back. The aim is for a 1MW plant in October.

Anyone who has spent any time engineering systems for the generation of electricity will recognize one immediate fallacy. The system supposedly generates “heat” which can then drive a third party electrical generation system such as a steam turbine. Ha ha. I will not even delve into the physics of the heat generation system, of which I am highly skeptical.
Anyone who simplistically says they will just hook up a steam turbine to generate electricity has no idea of all of the equipment required to make that happen. First of all, high temperatures are required to generate steam which is useful to run steam turbines. But, let’s assume that they can generate those high temperatures with their little black box.
The steam side would have to include: Water treating and storage. Deaerator. Boiler water chemical injection systems. High pressure boiler feedwater pumps. Boiler and superheater. Blowdown piping and drums. Expensive high pressure and high temperature piping. Relief valves and control systems. Condensing turbine. Condenser. (If a water cooled condenser, then a cooling water circulation system is required.) Condensate collection and polishing. Heat recovery exchangers.
On the electrical side, you would need a generator connected to the steam turbine, and electrical gear to regulate the system to provide the electricity at the required frequency.
A 1 MW system would not be economical. It’s too small. The operator and maintenance cost alone for such a low power (1 MW) system would make the electricity very expensive. The footprint of all of this equipment would be acres, not square feet. There’s a reason that power plants are built large.

Could a unit like this, that costs almost nothing to operate, be used as a home heating unit, like a boiler for a hydronic system? Also heating water for domestic use? Swimming pool heaters? Ice melt applications? Businesses consuming large quantities of hot water, restaurants, fish and other food processors, laundries, etc.?
Dealing with the Chicoms is the single most stupid move this group could make. Don’t they understand that China doesn’t invent anything, THEY ALWAYS STEAL IT!

Rossi is on to something. I am not sure just yet what it is or if it is a viable technology or just or just a laboratory curiosity.
Google MYT engine. He has not had much luck making an internal combustion engine but he has been running a unit that would run on steam for years.
It’s not just the turbine that’s a challenge. It’s having a whole steam supply system. If you don’t treat the water and recycle the condensate, you have much higher water usage and maintenance on the boiler. If you do treat the water and recycle the condensate, you have a lot of other equipment required. It’s just not as simple as some try to make it.
For one small plant, sure, just make the water usage once-through, that is, vent the exhaust steam to atmosphere and minimize the water treating and storage equipment required. But when you’re talking about installing a whole bunch of these, then you need to start thinking about steam condensation and reuse, and the attendant storage and treating. Most places in the world are having fresh water supply problems, and wastage of water will just not be permitted if there are lots of them being installed.
