Romney LOSING in GOP polls, 73% want someone else
FreeRepublic.com ^ | 6/24/11 | Mr. K

The talking heads in the media are all tingly that "Mitt"-for-brains Romney is "winning" the GOP Primary polls by "double digits" because he got 27% in a Florida poll. You expect this kind of baloney from CNN but even "Fox and Friends" was repeating this nonsense this morning.

Since Romney has 27% and Palin (who is not even running yet) has 17% and Bachman and all others get 10% or less, they report this as somehow showing Romney being in the lead, and a repudiation of the TEA party in the GOP.

This is totally ass-backwards. Romney is LOSING by over 45%

When EVERY OTHER CANDIDATE is more conservative than you, then that means that 73% of the people want someone more conservative than Mitt.

The exact opposite of how they are reporting this

Don’t miss the point here

They are trying to portray his 27% polling as somehow meaningful , and that it is a repudiation of the entire TEA Party.

It is nothing of the sort and we canot let them continue to use statistics to claim falsehoods as true. that is all I am saying

Republican party is going to die if they dont:
1) eleiminate ‘open primaries’ (who the hell thought THAT was a good idea- to let democraps vote in our primaries????)

2) keep voting UNTIL someone gets over 51%- I dont care what it costs.

I believe Bachmann was at 17%.

Your argument would suggest that 83% want someone other than Bachmann, that 83% want someone other than Sarah, and that 90% want someone other than the others.

This is literally true, if you define “want” as “want the most”.

But elections aren’t just about who we want the most. It’s about who we want instead of the others.

Our early primaries are likely to be heavily split. It will take time to shake out. A more interesting poll would include questions about which candidates were unacceptable, and 2nd and 3rd choices.

In the past, Sarah has done pretty well in such polling, but I haven’t seen such a poll recently.

Geez... do some of you even READ before you post?

My one and only CLEARLY STATED PURPOSED was that the liberal media is proclaiming “Mitt” as the winner and our favorite. When he only got 27% in this poll.

I am trying to reverse that sentiment and spin it the opposite way- 73% DONT WANT HIM

I am saying nothing about the other candidates at this point.

Yes the same is true for all of them, but THE MEDIA ARE NOT CLAIMING THE OTHERS ARE *OUR* FAVORITE CHOICE, like they are trying to do for “mitt”

Get it?

Don’t let THE MEDIA proclaim “mitt” as THE WINNER

Perry has plenty of his own RINO issues.

Just a few. He supported Giuliani, forced little girls to take Gardisil, and Ricardo Perry has the same views on amnesty as Jorge Bush and Juan McCain.

Perry, (like Willard, Newt, Tiny Tim, The Fat Man, and Huntsman), will NEVER get my vote. If any of them are the nominee I’m staying home election day and drinking myself half-blind.

But it’s his turn and he has an R after his name. Come on people, get with the program. It’s for the good of the party.

Yep! McInsane lost in 2000, so they gave it to him as a consolation prize in '08; Bob Dole ("You can trust Bob Dole; I'm Bob Dole") was given the nomination as a "gold watch" for all his years of service to the Party; Bush I got a promotion after serving as Veep. Ford did his job and was rewarded - oh wait, scratch that one...that outsider Reagan got it (well, Ford almost got co-prez)...

Oh, get real. They are just reporting what the polls show. He is simply in a stronger position than others. And the Media outlets ALWAYS hype whatever news they have. Nothing new there. If Romney wins the nomination, well, your choice then will be a Marxist-Leninist named Obama. But, if Romney is, indeed, the chameleon and opportunist you think he is, then he’s smart enough to unite the party with a Tea Party VP . .. a Bachmann or (God-willing) a Rubio. Consider that for a moment. Not a bad thought.

Personally I’d vote for Palin over Perry so I hope you’re right but looking at the current field she may just sit it out. Neither one of us know what she’s going to do so anything more is just noise....

Well I expect you won't be complaining if Obama is re-elected? Is Perry perfect? No he's not BUT he will crush Obama in the polls given the economy stays the same or worse as it is now. Team Obama is in trouble and they know it. The only thing they can hope for is a weak GOD candidate. That or some miracle on the economy and that's not going to happen. Priority 1 is to get Obama out of office and have the House and Senate; then it's up to you, me and others to hold the repubs feet to the grindstone.

Lol, seems I’ve hit a sore spot. Please tell us all who you’re ideal candidate is? The one thing I admire about the libs is once they settle on a candidate, the go ‘all in.’ even in this election most FEMA will stand by Obama because the don’t want to loose the opportunity they have, this is why they beat us.

A strong GOP candidate will crush Obama, of those in the race this point, only Perry can pull that off. Sarah could too but she has more negatives and a steeper road to climb; I think Bachmann could as well.

Back to my original point, neither you nor I knows what Ms. Palin is doing.

I know precisely what Governor Palin is doing, though I appreciate your candor in admitting your own ratiocinational deficiencies and lack of attention span.

But to your other erronneous points; neither Bachmann nor Perry will enthuse the base like Sarah will. Neither ever has, and neither can. Not even O'Buttsuck can move his supporters to such a frenzy. She is one of one, God bless her.

It is also a gross error in judgement for our prognosticators to at this juncture assume that the percentage of his base that is currently displeased with him might, as a result, not go to the polls for Barrio Bummer November after next. They will because they are all filth as depraved and craven as their foul Master.

Then, consider the hundreds of thousands of lying ethnic types, the dead people, and household cats who will fradulently vote for this scumbag, and the cheating Secretaries of State Soros has lined up to skew results as they "verify" the votes State-by-State, and the only way we win is in a landslide so leviathan that these sleights-of-hand cannot trump it.

We need someone who will draw 30-60,000 people for rallies in Dayton and Deluth. 80-100,000 in Dallas and Charlotte. Someone who so energizes our base that the tidal wave is its own insurmountable force of nature.

Most importantly, we need someone so God-and-Christ centered that He chooses to bless this event. We only have one who fits all these criteria, and she is running just as surely as you are sitting there wasting brain cells on inconsequential drool-soaked prattle.

You fargin gerbil.

ROFL, ok chief whatever you say. Unless you are Palin or close to her you have no clue as to what she’s doing. You and are not that far from each other, again I hope she does run but at this point it’s Perry’s to loose.

Don’t be like one of Paulians......

"...at this point it’s Perry’s to loose..."

You're just missing some vital parts or something. Some wiring connections that all of us have, you somehow ended up without. "Perry's to lose."

If I didn't think you were just intentionally trying to be absurd and inflammatory for the sake of vigorous conversation, I'd be sincerely concerned for your family's safety.

Next time, try "lose"... a word you should be, I would think, quite familiar with.

You gooned-up gerbil.

The best thing Mitt for Brains can do for this country is what he’s been saying over and over. He’s a businessman and he know how to run a business, create jobs and meet a payroll. Do it Mitt. Start one of your businesses and put a bunch of people back to work. Just don’t do it in politics. You are too wishy washy and a RINO. By the way you can take cousin Huntsman with you and make him your COO in your new business whatever that is. Manufacturing something hopefully.

That headline is deceptive, Romney has 27% now, but polls also show that Romney’s number’s go up when others drop out. Also, that poll also asks if you would vote for Palin if she was running. When not asked about Palin, her numbers are much, much lower. That poll is actually rigged in Palin’s favor, because it the assumes she is running. When Palin is listed as not running, her numbers are in the low single digits. If you want to talk smack about Romney, and try and build up Palin, then at least do it honestly. Don’t try and mislead people.

Read before you post

The media is portraying Romney as THE WINNER since he has more percentage than the others

This spin has GOT TO BE STOPPED

That;s how we got McCain.

Actually how we got McCain was by the Governors of Florida and of California, both giving a very crucial endorsement, just a day or two before those states voted. McCain was no front runner this early on. But you are correct, at this stage, being a front runner doesn’t mean as much as some think it does. It can change. But please, try and get your facts straight.
