Federal immigration officials say they will not deport immigrants pursuing legitimate civil rights claims, a move hailed by advocates as a way to protect a vulnerable population while critics say it encourages abuses.
The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement issued a memo Friday that absent special circumstances, it is against the agencys policy to deport immigrants in the midst of a legitimate effort to protect their civil rights. ICE officials said the memos were designed to provide guidance on exercising appropriate discretion.

If they are illegal they have no legal civil rights in this country. We humanely allow them due process but that’s it. There are no rights for these illegals.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz “Republicans want to make it a crime to enter the United States illegally”
Heads-up Ms Doofus........it ALREADY IS A CRIME! I want to see this quote in ads during the election cycle. If Republicans don't use every telling statement by the Libs then I will absolutely throw in the towel. We must win in 2012! Fight them like they fight us!

It is OK for illegals to violate our civil rights.

WTF? Winning the Future, of course!
This is worse than the Mexican government telling their people how to invade and live illegally within the confines of the United States! This is the United States government telling the Mexicans how to invade and illegally live within the confines of the United States!
If this is NOT seditious and treasonous, then what in the name of the Lord IS?!?!?!?

I’m thinking that they would laugh in a persons face for pursuing a discrimination suit for whites on this Diversity-Affirmative Action policy companies have, but for this they will bow and stand at at attention.

"Legitimate", eh?
Oh, well since every illegal alien will now be filing civil rights abuse claims, every single one will have to be scrutinized for legitimacy.
Brings deportation to a screeching halt, add many more public servants to the payroll to scrutinize civil rights claims, balloons the Justice Dept's "Civil Rights" bureau, and reflects positive employment figures AKA "Creating Jobs. Jobs, Jobs, Jobs."
Left wing WIN all around.

So THIS is why Eric Holder revived the Civil Rights Division at the Department of Injustice.
Are they going to flood the courts with “civil rights” claims resulting in citizenship just in time to vote for a certain marxist dipwad come 2012?

“Federal immigration officials say they will not deport immigrants pursuing legitimate civil rights claims,”
In other words none of them will be deported any longer.

It just hit me! This is the Obama administration's answer to the state-based anti-illegal immigration laws like Arizona, Alabama, etc... Instead of suing all of these states (and losing again, and again, and again), they are telling the illegals, simply claim the arresting police officer violated your civil rights and we will not export you back to the hell hole from whence you came!
When you are turned over to the ICE, we will release you back on the very public you from which you were plucked and you will be allowed to flee to another city/town/state etc... to continue to sponge off of America!

in the midst of a legitimate effort to protect their civil rights.Golly, I didn't know they had any civil rights if they were here illegally . . . what am I missing? Unborn Americans have absolutely NO CIVIL RIGHTS AT ALL, but illegal aliens do. Preposterous!

Duh, must be the twilight zone, what civil rights does an illegal have????

Civil Rights:
"The rights belonging to an individual by virtue of citizenship, especially the fundamental freedoms and privileges guaranteed by the 13th and 14th Amendments to the U.S. Constitution and by subsequent acts of Congress, including civil liberties, due process, equal protection of the laws, and freedom from discrimination."
