Even the Anthony Weiner stories include a Liberal spin piece by HuffPo or Salon.com to make someone pause in the face of facts. Google Palin, and every story is negative.

Like the media, they are 100% biased and Marxist.

I switched over to startpage about a year ago and have been very happy. I will never visit Google. Or, if I can help it, Wikipedia or any of the other leftist sites like that.

Search engines are not a good format. We need better, and it has to be “fair and balanced” (and I’m not talking about FOX).

Also, I’ve never had a problem finding anything on a search ... I was a little worried about that. Dumb stuff like local office phone numbers, or restaurant reviews, or more-in-depth searches that I used to Google, I can find just as easily on Startpage.

I’ve switched to www.DuckDuckGo.com and have had excellent results. Give it a try.

These are the first step toward Google losing half or more of its user base and taking a big hit in its ad revenue.

What do you have in mind?

It's complicated, and simple at the same time. But hear me out.

What I have in mind is based on how people use their computers to search and "get to" what they are looking for. Searching is what search engines do. "Getting to" what you seek is what I have in mind, but I would allow a little bit of "searching".

I mentioned that it's "complicated" because, it uses a very complicated database scheme. I mentioned "simple" because, the interface to the regular user would be very simple to understand and use. Making something that is complicated seem simple is not an easy task. Even creating the articles would be very simple and a lot simpler than using a CMS system. By "get to", I mean allowing a person to select and/or enter the specifics of what he or she wishes to see and/or read.

A system such as what I have in mind, would allow a person to select from articles which would be accessible via categories, subjects/topics/issues, type of articles, authors, publishers, publisher type, date or date range, geographical location related to the article.

Categories would allow a person to drill down to deeper levels or sub-categories. Subjects could be entered and/or selected from a pre-defined list. Authors could also be selected and/or entered. Likewise with publishers, which can be selected and/or entered. Geographic location could be selected where the user could indicate country and/or state/area and/or city/town.

In addition, the system would be a linker to the articles, whereby the articles would be hosted at the creator or author's site. However, the system would also contain the capabilities for creating the articles and hosting them, with complete control of articles by the authors.

There's a lot more to it, like the ability to classify articles and authors according to ideology.

The system I'm describing is not a just a wish. I already have such a system working, although not implemented yet.

The reason for my development of the system is precisely what we're talking about in this discussion related to Google and all other sites which don't play "fair and balanced". If implemented correctly, I believe it could take a huge amount of traffic from Google and Bing, and especially the other media sources, such as the NY Times and CNN and FOX and HuffPo and all others that host news/information/views/analysis.

I could probably demo the system, but right now, it would have to be via a remote network setup.
