I guess every governor should walk away from their job so they too can have an “impressive record”. That statement is laughable.
Lets all quit our jobs so we can be considered good at them. Indeed, the new American work ethic.
If this documentary is about Palin’s time as governor it must be nominated for an Oscar for best short film.

Pat, if you DON'T have the correct information, why do you spew gibberish?
Please.......do your research. You'll soon find why Sarah had to leave the Governorship.
Think liberal harrassment.......think frivolous lawsuits that she was responsible for. Read
"Going Rogue". Do your research. Thanks man. Do some reading.

The decision to leave office centers around the $500,000 in legals costs from the over 20 frivolous law suits brought against Sarah Palin. These law suits were orchestrated by operatives outside the state of Alaska and many speculate they even came from the Obama Administration.
Sarah set up a legal defense fund, calling it the Alaska Fund Trust. A team of lawyers and over 4 law firms cleared the trust and it was reviewed by law professors prior to the launch of the trust in 2009. This fund raised about $390,000. However, Palin foes argued that such a fund violated Alaska’s Ethics Act. They argued that the act prohibited public officials from using their public office for personal gain by raising funds for their legal defense. Such a fund was ruled illegal by Alaska’s Personnel Board. Sarah had to return all of the $390,000.
Of course, Sarah set up another legal defense fund. However, time was running out and bankruptcy was the next disaster for the Palin family. Bankruptcy would put her family in great danger, destroy their ability to get credit and severely limit Sarah’s political plans.
Another thing these frivolous lawsuits did was tie up Alaska’s state government in processing the necessary documents to fight the court cases. This demand on the Alaska bureaucracy was becoming a multimillion dollar cost. That was money Sarah did not want to rob from the people of Alaska.
Given my limited scope of Sarah’s legal fight, I think Sarah did the correct thing to resign. In doing so, she became even stronger and where she needs to be to destroy the Left wing menace that infects this nation.

Hey Patrick, many brave men throughout our history have had to retreat when facing overwhelming odds in order to fight another day, below you will find one such example. I know the concept must be hard for you to understand since Governor Palin, and many people here on FreeRepublic have tried to help you understand the concept and also the valid reasons that Governor Palin gave for resigning, however, in the hope that you have more than 2 brains cells to rub together and that you have some sincerity in your soul, I offer the following example in the hope that an example from History might be able to reach you and help you understand.
After the devastating losses suffered by the PVA 79th Division at Yudam-ni, 9th Army headquarters realized that the bulk of the 1st Marine Division was stationed at Yudam-ni, with a garrison strength that was double the initial estimate.[73] Believing that any further assaults would be futile, Song Shi-Lun ordered the 9th Army to switch their main attacks toward Sinhung-ni and Hagaru-ri,[73] leaving Yudam-ni alone from 28 November to 30 November.[74] At the same time, the US Eighth Army on the Korean western front was forced into full retreat at the Battle of the Ch'ongch'on River, and MacArthur ordered Almond to withdraw the US X Corps to the port of Hungnam.[75] Acting on the instruction of Almond and Smith, Lieutenant Colonel Raymond L. Murray and Colonel Homer L. Litzenberg, commanders of the 5th and 7th Marines, respectively, issued a joint order to break out from Yudam-ni to Hagaru-ri on 30 November.[76] Faced with tough fighting between the blocking Chinese divisions and the retreating Marines, Smith remarked: "Retreat, hell! We're not retreating, we're just advancing in a different direction."[77]

Palin did more in two years then my favorite President Reagan did in 8 years, and by that matter, any other governor.
