Obama vs. the Economy-killing Machines!

Obama better pray that one of his devoted fans doesn’t shoot up an ATM tomorrow… But I digress.

Let’s go straight to the horse’s mouth, shall we?

Obama, yesterday: “A lot of businesses have learned to become much more efficient with a lot fewer workers. You see it when you go to a bank and you use an ATM, you don’t go to a bank teller or you go to the airport and you’re using a kiosk instead of checking in at the gate.”

Is the President of the United States trying to jump-start the buggy whip manufacturers?

Wait a minute though… At first blush his comment seems ridiculous, but maybe he’s on to something after all. Maybe we’re just too stupid to understand? He is our first President with an IQ over 160 after all (according to an idiot I overheard on a TV show).

I forsee a whole new industry based on stagecoaches and horse-drawn drayage… This might actually work! Obama! You magnificent bastard! You’re a genius! How did we not see the solution when it was right in front of us all the time?

This must be Obama’s secret new plan… Check it out:

If we could eliminate tractor-trailers, then we would need millions of wagons, horses, and assorted accoutremount to transport our food, clothing, etc. All of those horses would need farriers, stall-cleaners, and veterinarians… Think of the jobs that would be created building the wagons, manufacturing tack for horses, and of course, buggy-whip shops would spring up overnight throughout the land!

A lot of businesses have learned to become much more efficient with a lot fewer workers.

Efficiency is bad.

So is prosperity.

If you were a true patriot you would go shoot an ATM.

I have been flabbergasted by the apparent insanity of our economic policy. It all seemed as it was a perfectly designed effort to destroy our country. Nothing made any sense - until I remembered that this was all discussed here about five years ago. Does anyone remember the discussions about merging all the North American currencies into one common currency similar to the Euro? Could this apparent attempt to destroy the Dollar be the climactic event to convince the North American countries to switch their currencies to an Amero? When politicians scream about the irrelevant issues rather than the problem issues, it is always wise to look at the issues they are not talking about.

Conservative Republicans need to expose this fragile, thin veil of a presidential image, held in place by a teleprompter and the piss-stream media.

Countdown until Obama leaves Office: 584 days as of June 15, 2011.

We should start scrapping all those labor saving devices right away, but not all at once. Like the boiled frog, we won’t know we on the way to the stone age till we get there.

So same day he says that ATM machines (technological innovation) is responsible for job losses, he is advocating establishment of a government program to educate 10,000 engineers for high tech jobs. Talk about double-minded...

Either this guy is the dumbest person to ever be in the WH or he’s got the dumbest advisors in history. Someone has to service those ATMs. Someone has to put money in them and take money out. And lots of people are at work building them. I’d wager ATMs added a lot more employees than the bank tellers they replaced.

It is those fat cat tea kettles that took the good jobs of boiling water in skins with hot rocks.

Hammers, too play their part in disrupting the economy and putting people out of work. One guy with a hammer takes the jobs of several with rocks, and rocks are good, green technology.

ROCK ON!

WHAT DO WE WANT!

ROCKS!

WHEN DO WE WANT THEM!

NOW!

He is a stage prop. Every once in a while the prop falls over and makes noise. Then its handlers put it back in place and it appears stable again.

You said “nothing makes any sense...”

******************

The following link is to an old FR thread, about an even older conservative booklet called “The Revolution Was”, written in 1938 about FDR and the New Deal. It is ALL happening again - amazingly, chillingly so. Only worse.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2185147/posts

An Excerpt:

Worse outwitted were those who kept trying to make sense of the New Deal from the point of view of all that was implicit in the American scheme, charging it therefore with contradiction, fallacy, economic ignorance, and general incompetence to govern.

But it could not be so embarrassed and all that line was wasted, because, in the first place, it never intended to make that kind of sense, and secondly, it took off from nothing that was implicit in the American scheme. It took off from a revolutionary base....

For what it meant to do it was from the beginning consistent in principle, resourceful, intelligent, masterly in workmanship, and it made not one mistake......

Having passed this crisis, the New Deal went on from one problem to another, taking them in the proper order, according to revolutionary technic; and if the handling of one was inconsistent with the handling of another, even to the point of nullity, that was blunder in reverse.

The effect was to keep people excited about one thing at a time, and divided, while steadily through all the uproar of outrage and confusion a certain end, held constantly in view, was pursued by main intention.

The end held constantly in view was power.
