WI: Activist Judge Publicly Spanked

The Wisconsin state Supreme Court smacked the liberal activist judge who tried to dictate policy to the other two branches of state government. The state Supreme court ruled that Judge Maryann Sumi never had the right to stick her nose into state legislative business when she invalidated Wisconsin’s law which would restrict the collective bargaining “rights” of public service employees.

The court waxed quite eloquent in it’s public flogging of the activist judge:

"The court ruled that Dane County Circuit Judge Maryann Sumi’s ruling, which had held up implementation of the collective bargaining law, was in the void ab initio, Latin for invalid from the outset."

And, in case you missed it the first time:

"The court concluded that Sumi exceeded her jurisdiction, ‘invaded’ the Legislature’s constitutional powers and erred in halting the publication and implementation of the collective bargaining law."

Rather strong language. Not only a constitutionally proper ruling, but sound reasoning underpinning it.

She needs to be publicly flogged... then summarily dismissed.

When do the impeachment proceedings for Sumi start?

They should have said something about a conflict of interest inasmuch as her son has been an activist for the SEIU and AFL/CIO.

Sumi’s reply to the state supreme court: “so, sue me.”

It means NOTHING, and will not send a message to other biased dem judges, unless she is recalled, or impeached.

Sumi's actions constituted an act of rebellion against the state. I suppose she could be hanged for treason.

Actually, that'd be the best possible solution. We don't need her out there kvetching about this.

So are there any actual repercussions for her, or just the public admonishment. People like her probably don’t care about those.

This was pretty obvious from the get go, but it’s great to have it legally validated. (I’m referring to her over-the-top ruling, not the law itself...).

Flogged? Maybe. I think She should be locked in stocks in the public square with a list of transgressions posted next to the barrel of rotten garbage. Old school style.

“Spanked”? That’s just foreplay for a Democrat judge.

If actions for their decisions could remove them from the court, the 9th circus wouldnt exist

Better yet, send her and that pinhead DA a bill for wasting public resources on a frivolous lawsuit. Make them pay back every dime of salary they received for this nonsense.

Absolutely correct. If, and this was a crime, she is not impeached then that proves the Republicans have no Ba!!s. Conflict of interest was so blatant that a fool could even see it.
