That isn’t addressing the argument, it is attacking the person.

Here's an assignment for you, since you seem so "concerned."

Go to the last dozen Palin threads starting yesterday, and pick out each and every post in which someone was accused (as you say) of being "easily lead [sic] around by the nose by the MDM/RNc/DNC's [sic] PR machine."

Then go to the post of the person who WAS accused.

See if they are stating "She can't win" as a fait accompli, or if they also say "polls can be manipulated" or "how do we best fight this" or "I can hardly wait for her movie The Undefeated/i> to turn this around" or "Gee, she hasn't started campaigning yet, no wonder her numbers are so bad" or "we have 17 or 18 months yet."

If none of those themes are extant, it becomes more likely that the speaker is a concern troll.
