Who owns your body?
Judging from our nations body of law, the ruling class wrongly believes the government does.
However, you own your body and, with that ownership, you have a God-given natural right to do what you will with it, even if that means ending your life.
That is the lesson we should take from the life of Dr. Jacob Jack Kevorkian, who died June 3 at the age of 83. As he once said, Dying is not a crime.

You’re full of it, troll.
I remember a lot of old cowboy movies where one of the heroes takes a shot to the gut, and he knows he’s going to slowly, inevitably, painfully die from bleeding and infection (or get attacked by some wild animal and not be able to defend himself while he’s lying there). He asks his buddy to finish him off with a shot to the head, and a good buddy would do it for him.
I also remember when my own father was dying of very painful cancer. Every day was more excruciating than the one before. He knew there was no hope of recovery, and he decided to stop radiation therapy because it just made him sick on top of all the pain. He had many more morphine pills prescribed than he could safely take, and I would have brought them all to him at once to take if he had said to me, “This is too much for me to bear. I am ready to go. Please help me.” I was prepared to do that for him because I loved him so much and respected him to decide how much suffering he was willing to endure. Thankfully, he slipped into a coma before the pain became too much, and he died peacefully with his family at his bedside.
LOL....straight to the point....I like that!
But, you might try to understand the meaning of the word "inalienable" some time. Maybe then you'll grow up and adopt the political philosophy of the founders of this great republic.
in·alien·able
adj
Definition of INALIENABLE
: incapable of being alienated, surrendered, or transferred
Yes, indeedy.
Yup. I checked it and the blog.
He be a dead troll now.
Kevorkian also wanted to eliminate the disabled, people with Down Syndrome and virtually all undesirables.
Give the clown credit for consistency - it’s like he’s begging for someone to zot himself out of his (but mostly ours) misery... ;)
While I believe people have the right to decide for themselves, history shows that if someone is given the right to decide something for themselves, they often soon start to demand the right to make that decision for someone else. Illogical, yes, but humans are not logical.
I do not trust human nature with this.
In after the zot.
Thanks for the ping.
Hee hee...hope its happy now!
You may need a shot, those blogs are fraught with disease.
So to extrapolate, you would be in favor of Vulcans having the choice to kill themselves ;)
An innocent peron's life (including your own) is never to be intentionally destroyed. A person who is capitally guilty (generally, a pesron who has committed a capital crime liike murder, and been duly tried and convicted, or a person engaged in an act of violent aggression, e.g. a member of an invading army) can --- not ad libitum, but in certain specified circumstances --- be intentionally killed without the killing being judged as murder.
This is not relativism, because the standards are objective. It is called "justice" and "judgment."
I guess he’s free at last.
nicely done!
