The last thing Congresswoman Michele Bachmann should want as she considers launching a campaign for President is that she get dragged down into the gutter at the outset by a political consultant Ed Rollins who makes her look petty because he works for her.
President Ronald Reagan, who Republican candidates often quote, frowned upon Republican candidates trashing Republican candidates. What Rollins said that reflects upon Congresswoman Bachmann certainly is not the worst but it was gratuitous and not responding to an insult. This early tactic (before the candidate even makes it official) is a strong indicator of what is to come from him. Is this how Representative Bachmann wants start her campaign..or run her campaign . with a guy who just cant help himself? and worse, a guy that makes her look petty?
A campaign for President should be about the candidates positions on issues and we have very important issues to discuss and debate. Rollins start with Congresswoman Bachmann makes him look like a has been resurrecting old tactics. She wont look Presidential with him. She will look strong if she dumps him now and says not my campaign.
Rollins might be amused by his own remarks or think he is a big tough guy but I doubt Congresswoman Bachmann is impressed with him she no doubt remembers the campaign boost she got from Rollins, target, Governor Sarah Palin. I have also spoken to Congresswoman Bachmann in the green room at Fox many times and she says she is passionate about the issues. She is strong and determined about the issues. This does not mean she should not fire back at someone who fires at her but does she want to start the fights?
Let me repeat and emphasize: what Rollins said is NOT NOT NOT the worst..

If she dumps him quickly shed be fine, otherwise she owns this mess and is done.
She’s done in any case.
In the end, if Palin decides not to run, this Ed Rollins thing might be a good thing — because it will permit Sarah to ignore Bachmann’s primary candidacy as she (Sarah) is increasingly called upon to play kingmaker.
Bachmann is not presidential material. She’s a backbench congresswoman who could not even parlay the Tea Party sweep into a BIG leadership position from her own party. She is probably running for prez mainly to spite Boehner and Cantor. She brings no meaningful experience or background for the job. And if she fluked into the nomination, Obo would likely clobber her anyway. I think she’ll run second among the Minnesotans in the primary race, it’ll be that bad.
Wait a minute, dude. michele bachmann has been far more coy about throwing her hat into the ring. She has NOT declared HERSELF either. Furthermore she CHOSE to attack Palin FIRST...which says to me that she is a backstabber without enough faith in her own ability to run on her merits against Palin face to face.
You cannot possibly respect a candidate like this. WE didn’t make bachmann do what she did. She did this all by her wittle self.
Cry me a river. I don’t really give a crap. She blew it. There was NO excuse for it. NONE.
thank you for your excellent research in #27.
that was a lot more than i thought !!!
certainly Bachmann cannot claim ignorance of all of that.
(and, if she does, that is still hardly a plus...)
Well said Sir.
(especially your point about Bachmann has NOT officially entered!)
...newzjunkey may be correct about some people. but i LIKED Bachman. and i certainly would have supported her against almost anyone else. and someone i have great respect for, liked her even more than i did, until now.
VR’s list in #27 shows exactly what was on Rollins’ resume BEFORE Bachmann hired him.
That's an outright lie. If you go back and look at my posts from this time last year, you'll see that I was one of her biggest supporters on this board. Hell, I was the one who pointed pissant in her direction.
Bravo.
I agree 100%.
Bachmann cannot hold a candle to Sarah Palin.
She may be a Christian, but what kind? From her bio she seems like the ultra-intolerant extreme right wing Christian fundamentalist. Really—too far out of the mainstream to even be considered a feasible candidate.
Who is Romney?
BUMP
