Salon's Alex Pareene has noticed that ever since Matt Drudge latched onto the made-up story of Ashley Todd (the McCain supporter who claimed she was attacked by a black Obama supporter), the Drudge Report creator seems to have a new fixation: making whites terrified of blacks by providing a platform for stories about "scary black people," from kids fighting on buses to participants in "urban melees." Meanwhile, similar crimes by white kids (and nonurban melees) mysteriously get skipped over.

Pareene is adamant that this is intentional and political. We agree and would add that it's also probably quite effective. So brace yourself for even more stoking of racial fears...

... Since Obama actually took office, though, Drudge has seriously stepped up his "scary black people" coverage. There was, in September of 2009, the story he heavily publicized of a kid on a bus in Illinois getting beaten up. A kid on a bus in Illinois getting beaten up is not really national news -- until Drudge makes it so. The fact that the beater was black and the victim white is why Drudge made it national news.

... It all came to a head, as John Cook noted, this Memorial Day weekend when Drudge posted 10 separate headlines -- including the massive, above-the-logo one -- related to violent incidents involving "urban" people at venues like "Black Bike Week" in Miami and "Rib Fest" in Rochester, N.Y. There was an "Urban Melee in Charlotte," for example. Do you know what makes an "urban melee" different from a regular "melee"? It's not that it takes place within the city limits of a major metropolitan area. It's that it involves the world's most obvious code term for "scary black people."

Sandra Bernhard issues 'gang rape' warning to Sarah Palin

Sandra Bernhard issued a blistering warning to Sarah Palin during a performance of her new one-woman show.

The Republican V.P. nom would be "gang-raped by my big black brothers" if she enters Manhattan, Bernhard said. Palin is said to be making a campaign stop in New York next week.

"[The gang rape comment] is part of a much larger, nuanced, and yes, provocative (that's what I do) piece from my show about racism, freedom, women's rights and the extreme views of Governor Sarah Palin, a woman who doesn't believe that other women should have the right to choose," Bernhard told the Daily News today.

Mr Gates is insane.
he uses ONE false case, and a few Drudge headlines, to totally mislead any honest discussion of this subject.
how about some honest impartial FACTS, from the FBI ?

...Gates can argue that blacks have been mistreated.
“institutional racism” prevents them from getting the same opportunities. all that and more, and i won’t argue.

but, to deny the bottom line reality, that blacks are much more like to commit (and be victims of!) violent crime, is simply insane. Official police statistics, FBI statistics, etc. make this clear. it is NOT opinion.

(just as it is a simply scientific fact, that Africans have a higher average level of testosterone, and Chinese have the lowest. (and the lowest rate of violent crime).
NOT PC i admit. ...but you can’t make good solutions, by ignoring reality.)
it is about scientifically measured amounts of a hormone that is linked to agression. NOT about skin color !!!
simple scientific reality.
there are MANY other medical conditions, that are based on heredity. to deny this, is insane. would you give black men the SAME level of heart disease treatment, when they need MORE, because they are more vulnerable to it ?

again, if he will concede the basic facts, i would listen to him, about reasons WHY, and possible solutions, to make things better for black Americans.

similarly, we talk about the “achievement gap” in schools. and spend HUGE amounts of money to reduce it.
and, there are many legitimate reasons for this, including a black culture that actually discourages academic excellence. yet, objective tests, show how stubborn it is.
...if instead, we would accept science, we could use that money, to help black students find a career that is truly suited for them.

Thomas Sowell himself, has written about how black students are being set up to fail, by affirmative action pushing them into Universities they are ready for, instead of other schools, where they would do VERY well, and have great careers and great lives.

Thomas Sowell, Walter E Williams, Clarence Thomas, Condeleeza Rice, Col Allen West, and many more, are all intellectual giants compared to me.
...when you discuss averages, you are NOT discussing the extremes of the “Bell Curve” (a book that was condemned, not for being wrong, but for it’s un-PC honesty.).

the book “IQ and the Wealth of Nations”, is also hard to refute. it gives the average IQ of Nations around the world, and shows the effect of IQ.

The Average IQ in China, is HIGHER than the average IQ in the USA. sure, you can say they have a better study ethic, and that is why so many get perfect SAT scores.
But IQ and knowledge from study, are NOT the same thing.

MILLIONS of Chinese are smarter than me. i don’t have a problem with that. The fastest men in the world, are black. i don’t have a problem with that. i accept reality.

...by denying reality, you actually HURT efforts, to truly help ALL Americans, regardless of their race.

we don’t have “affirmative action” programs in sports. why?

and again, people like Thomas Sowell, and Clarence Thomas, are brilliant men, who didn’t need affirmative action,

We ALREADY have police, and even schools, that are holding groups of people to a LOWER standard, because of skin color.
In some cases, crimes are deliberately NOT being reported...
...to deliberately reduce the difference in reported crimes by race. instead of ONE standared, for ALL Americans.

My brother in law would disagree. He has always contended that the reason the crime rates in cities like Indianapolis increased during the 70’s is because they started reporting B-o-B crime which they had never done before. Don’t know if that is true, but he grew up in Indy and said the crime was there it just wasn’t reported because it happened in certain neighborhoods to certain people.

Here’s the problem with white people: we tend to play by the rules and it is quickly becoming a handicap.
To most white people, the thought of going to jail is horrifying, simply because of the damage it would do to our reputation.
To most white people, the thought of ganging up on a black woman and beating and kicking her while our white friends stood by and watched is simply inconceivable, however in all too much of the black community, it is acceptable....

This week on TWWCO on ABC they had 4 college grads on talking about their futures. The one Black kid made it a point to point out that Blacks have never been promised the American dream like other races so he didn’t graduate with expectations that he would have the opportunity to pursue said dream. This was after he told Christianne that he had no college loans to pay off like the other three kids, because his college had been paid for by scholarships. After 40 years of AA and the election of our first AA president we are still turning out young Black college grads who think America is a racist place that offers them nothing.
