A quasi-scandal has broken out at Arkansas Russellville Middle School. The schools yearbook featured a list of the Top 5 Worst People of All Time. Some of the worlds most horrific murderers and maniacs were included: Adolph Hitler, Osama Bin Laden, Charles Manson
Few people would argue that these individuals dont deserve a spot on that roster. Each went on murderous rampages and were, arguably, mentally-imbalanced.
However, its the lists last two names that are causing a stir: George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. The former president and vice-president dont seem to share many characteristics with the other men they were clumped with.
Once the yearbooks were printed, the district attempted to remedy the alleged oversight. KLRT-TVhas more:
Superintendent Randall Williams calls the list an oversight. Parents caught it after the yearbooks were printed. The districts solution was to cover the list with tape. It didnt work.
Really? said Williams when told the tape could be pulled off. Well thats disappointing because the yearbook supplier told us this was a definite fix.
Theres no word yet on potential disciplinary measures for the teacher responsible for managing the yearbooks production process, though the principal maintains that it was an accident.

Why do my tax dollars go to the Department of Education?
Assuming there was negligible voter fraud, the American people allowed Obama to be elected, not Bush and Cheney. It would've been far worse for our nation for a sitting President to deny a "rightfully elected" person the office, based on an assertion of fraud.
Too often as a nation, we blame "the government" as if the government is a separate entity. The government derives its power from "the people," rightly or wrongly, and the government reflects its people's values, rightly or wrongly.
Every time someone like you states the dumbest comment, and we respond, you never answer. If you’ve given up, please leave, if not please explain your rant. Incidently, in spite of this miserable person called the president, if the voters realize their miserable selection change will come. Don’t blame bush, only imbecile liberals do, unless of course you are one.
I live in Massachusetts. I know what would happen to me for even asking that question up here.
I sent a letter to the editor of the Boston Globe back in the nineties, and to my surprise they printed it with my name and town under it. I got some amazingly nasty calls from irate liberals who looked up my number. I forget what it was even about, now.
I only stopped getting them a few years back...and the Globe never printed any more of the letters I sent to them after that, so I stopped...:)
LOL...I am sure I am on a list somewhere in the PRM (People’s Republic of Massachusetts)
LOL...he signed up last month to carry on the tradition.
Ooooh. Good one...:)
Russellville is in the NC/NW part of AR and the state's sole nuclear power plant is located there. It's conservative territory.
Something I've noticed with incidents like this in AR communities (this incident, the ten year old leading the "Pride Parade" in Fayetteville last year, among other incidents) is that these communities have a State University. Could this be the common denominator?
That teacher needs to be fired immediately.
Agreed.
Ah, yes, a *State University*.
You’ve answered my question.
Why the personal insults?
And why why why would you, hear on Free Republic, equate Christianity with Islam? And you think **I** need meds?
Wow! You are absolutely right!
( Love the big red letters!)
The teachers, on the other hand...
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
My bet is that every teacher in that school was indoctrinated in a godless, government K-12, socialist-funded, and collectivist voter mob managed school. Likely all attended godless colleges and universities. Most likely went to government socialist-funded state universities.
( My bet.)
That should read: “ here” on Free Republic.
As for the fire and brimstone. I can not defend a strawman of your creation. I have never even come close to suggesting such a thing.
By the way,...If you are a teacher, I know that ( being a so-called “professional”) you would never, never, never, use strawman debating tactics with , or direct personal insults to, vulnerable and emotionally immature students who would be incapable of recognizing these strategies or defending themselves against them.
Somebody has probably already said this, but I’ll say it again.
Yet another reason to homeschool.
I too am totally ticked with Bush and Cheney regarding that issue.
That is a ridiculous thing to say.
We KNOW that is the truth, don’t we?
BTW...if you like, I can freepmail the way to do the big letters...:)
BTTT
I am ticked off too on this issue, as I am with their approaches to Immigration, spending and “bipartisanship”
But I agree with some other important things such as tax cuts, withdrawal from Kyoto and prosecution of the war, but to say they are the worst thing that ever happened to this country is...er...delusional.
>>as for your suggestion that a fire & brimstone school would solve the problems... umm.. yea.. sure.. you betcha. the schools in riyadh have plenty of fire & brimstone, look what they turn out.<<
Are you seriously suggesting that Catholic schools are the same as Madrassas?
