A quasi-scandal has broken out at Arkansas Russellville Middle School. The schools yearbook featured a list of the Top 5 Worst People of All Time. Some of the worlds most horrific murderers and maniacs were included: Adolph Hitler, Osama Bin Laden, Charles Manson
Few people would argue that these individuals dont deserve a spot on that roster. Each went on murderous rampages and were, arguably, mentally-imbalanced.
However, its the lists last two names that are causing a stir: George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. The former president and vice-president dont seem to share many characteristics with the other men they were clumped with.
Once the yearbooks were printed, the district attempted to remedy the alleged oversight. KLRT-TVhas more:
Superintendent Randall Williams calls the list an oversight. Parents caught it after the yearbooks were printed. The districts solution was to cover the list with tape. It didnt work.
Really? said Williams when told the tape could be pulled off. Well thats disappointing because the yearbook supplier told us this was a definite fix.
Theres no word yet on potential disciplinary measures for the teacher responsible for managing the yearbooks production process, though the principal maintains that it was an accident.

So?....How will that help? Huh?
The teachers and administration have been thoroughly indoctrinated in Marxism. The schools are still socialist-funded and collectivist managed by the voting mob. They are still GODLESS!
Even if school districts were the size of a suburban subdivision they would still be socialist-funded, collectivist managed, and godless or ( at best) lukewarm in their religious worldview,
Oh...Please remember that our earliest socialist and collectivist government schools ( mid-1800s to early 1900s) offered up a generic and lukewarm Protestantism. What did this teach children? It taught them to be lukewarm and generic about their religion! What does Christ do with the lukewarm? He spits them out of His mouth!

He can’t be fired.
He’s only doing his duty slaving away on the DemocRAT plantation.
Throwing money at education never has improved it.
Go rent a copy of Waiting For Superman and see how hard it is to fire a teacher.
You can hide your head in the sand all you want, but George W. Bush and Dick Cheney had to know about obama, and they did nothing to stop him, as a result, our nation is all but destroyed.
I agree with the year book, the George W. Bush and Dick Cheney administration will go down in history as the nail that closed the top on the coffin of the Republic.
No one ever learned anything from a textbook.
Government schools are stealing our children’s minds, I’m telling you.
Not mine, I homeschooled mine all the way through.
Hey, look at what I found. IMHO, textbooks are like toupes. There are good toupes and bad toupes, but you know it’s a toupe, not real hair.
Still, even for a textbook, this is appalling.
They probably got promoted.
First - Why is a yearbook being produced for 10 yr olds?
Second - Why is a list of the world’s worse people in a yearbook for 10 yr olds?
Third - This is categorically not a mistake. It is a vulgarity, an obscenity and a vicious slander.
Fourth - The Bible says sometyhing about removing an eye if it offends. Removing the page would have gone (largely) unnoticed and been a successful resolution. Taping over the offense only brings attention to the ugliness it promotes.
Fifth - The children must receive immediate and thorough remedial education. Teaching them about people like Stalin and Mao who destroyed generations of children by brainwashing them to hate freedom fighters like Bush and Cheney would be a good start.
Sixth - And most important, this can not stand. This is an offense against civil society. The perpetrators must be severely brought to task and the offense must be thoroughly overcome.
Come on folks - Why is this even considered “news”? The yearbook teacher is humiliated she missed it. The kids got the list off some web site and — middle school is what, 6th, 7th & 8th grade? The kids are likely clueless.
We know the truth about Bush & Cheney. The outrage being expressed by some is a bit over the top. The *ONLY* reason this is news is because some lib reporter knows it will troll some conservatives into hyperventilating.
Just ignore it. It is just a stupid school-kid prank that ranks somewhere around fart jokes and should receive no more attention than that.
take the money away and the parasites will scatter.
they may act like commies... but the reality of needing to eat becomes obvious very fast
as for your suggestion that a fire & brimstone school would solve the problems... umm.. yea.. sure.. you betcha. the schools in riyadh have plenty of fire & brimstone, look what they turn out.
it’s 8am, have you taken your meds?
Nope. Not “Bush’s Fault”.
It is YOUR fault.
And MY fault.
WE the PEOPLE let it happen.
Whoops, this is a yearbook, not a textbook. What can I say, I’m not a morning person.
This is Pope County Arkansas. They could be old enough to vote.:-)
“Why is a list of the worlds worst people in a yearbook for 10 yr olds?”
I was hoping someone would pick up on this. Why indeed? And not just for ten year olds, but for anyone? What connection does such a list have to do with school memories? Is this “Yearbook According to Keith Olbermann?” Yearbooks should stick to the positive, why encourage negativity?
This is exactly what we need to do whenever we see this happuy horse$hit.
When they show a list of criminals that include Bush and Cheny with hitler then we ask if we can also include Pelosi, Reid, and obama
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
Nevertheless, it is not appropriate for a yearbook. Yearbooks ought not to be platforms for pushing political agendas.
