And now for the day that we've all been waiting for, it appears that JoAnne Kloppenburg finally got the memo that she was losing in the Wisconsin Supreme Court race. She is expected to concede about this time today.
Kloppenburg had called for a recount after the election results showed he 7,000 votes behind incumbent justice David Prosser. This is just under the maximum vote percentage to allow a state-funded recount. Kloppenburg's campaign expected to gain votes in one particular country that never materialized.
Now Politico is reporting that Kloppenburg is going to leave the race, despite her earlier calls to continue the recount. This would leave the conservative/Republican faction on the Wisconsin Supreme Court with a majority. This will be important in the court case sure to follow regarding the public sector union law.

She already has, WITI an WTMJ have been carrying the press conference for about 15 minutes.
This thing was still going on? This lady is an embarrassment. What was the point of dragging this out?
whatta waste of money.
Watching this right now. It’s laughable.
“I’ll add something ... since you’re not asking”
“In asking for the recount... I had no ulterior motive”
“I didn’t have donuts with the union thugs this morning... blah blah blah”
Took care of the socializing yesterday, eh?
Funny you should feel compelled to say that, Joanne.
The leftists were out of plausible options. Any further action would 1) have virtually no chance of success, and 2) focus further attention on their propensity for stealing elections.
Another thing... she was asked if the recount was worth the cost... “of course it was.”
Yeah, it’s always worth it when it’s not your money. After all, it’s only taxpayer dollars, right?
Believe it when I see it.
What country would that be?
It stirs up the base, it gives them an opportunity to question the legitimacy of the winner, it creates a distraction from the other nonsense they're perpetrating, it keeps the Republicans on the defensive, it keeps attention away from election fraud, it gives the media an opportunity to take shots at the Republicans, it's part of their usual bag of tricks, they're immature and can't deal with defeat gracefully,...
So much for the "overwhelming voter anger" at GOP "overreach." The unions and the Soros-funded lefties poured millions into this race and have nothing but egg on their faces to show for it.
As Nelson Muntz from The Simpsons would say: HA HA!
Unionistan, I believe
Why don’t they force the loser of the recount challenge to repay the government (us) for the cost?
Odd...I expected her to drag it out in the courts until after the recent ruling on Gov. Walker’s collective bargaining bill reached the state Supreme Court. That way Judge Prosser couldn’t rule on it, leaving it deadlocked.
Deserves a DRUDGE BEACON, just out of the sheer frustration of fighting these a-holes!
Believe it.
Well....perhaps. Some of the cost, for sure, was state funds...and that comes from state tax payers (we all remember state tax payers don't we? Those are the folks and businesses that work so that they have the honor and good fortune to fork over some of what they earn to the state.)
As to it's being "not her money"; actually, little of the trouble resulting from her inept and unqualified "run" for state supreme court came from her "coffers". The money she used came from national union dues, state union dues, and the stain's re-election campaign funds.
Strange thing is...with all this "out of state" funding...all the crooked and illegal voting...all the screaming and shrieking down at the Capitol Building by the whinning, immature, lefties... all of the favorable press received from the terribly liberally biased msm here in WI....SHE STILL LOST!!
It’s nice that Wisconsin voters won’t have to worry about the Klop when the recall elections come around.
Well, now I believe it. She actually did concede. Color me surprised.
