Actually if you take the time to watch debates that include Palin, even before she was a National name, debates seem to be what actually put her in favor with the electorate.....

That’s about as convincing as the ex-staffer on Hannity last night trying to PROTECT us by vetting Governor Palin’s honesty in a trashy new book....It was embarassing and the agenda was clear....He did himself no favors by appearing on camera....And your comments about Governor Palin do you no favors when trying to convince folks that you honestly think she is as good as the other names being tossed around....

The "media" (including snl) has been unremittingly hammering Mrs. Palin for over two years....unremittingly. Yet here she stands....with the same core values, the same traits, the same conservative positions with which she struck the national stage back in '08. I serioulsly doubt she'll "cave" in the event she does run, and the msm doubles it's attacks. Have you ever heard of a "tipping" point? It is where the attacks become regarded as "unfair" to the person in question based on the fact that they are women,black,other minority group, businessmen, etc.
In the event she runs and the attacks are hightened, the tipping point will be reached.
It will crush a Palin candidacy.

I'm not exactly sure what you were referring to with the phrase "dear leader". I can only assume you meant "dead"?? Understand this, please. The leader is incredibly important. And should it come down to a choice between electing Mrs. Palin to the office of President of the United States, or allowing the awful stain to continue to ruin that same office....I, for one, will cast my vote for Mrs. Palin. Understand also, that while you may consider Mrs. Palin's Presidency "dear" (or "dead"??), remember, that with the eradication of the stain goes the entire regime now in power. That adds the "clincher" to my vote for putting Mrs. Palin in the office of President of the United States How stand you?

I’m with-holding judgement until/if she actually starts campaigning officially. However, when one looks at the complete set of circumstances involved in her decision to resign as AK gov, it should be readily apparent that it was the reasonable, prudent and correct action to take.
This presumes one is actually aware of the complete set of circumstances, is not being intellectually dishonest or playing political games.
Yes, the MSM will likely try to prosecute her on the issue of her resigning, but when they do, they give her the opportunity to respond — and all the circumstances that the MSM has tried to downplay (that clearly justify the decision to resign) can be presented. With the MSM’s help! It’s rather ironic.
So, it will be interesting. Just like Cain, I think Palin is a good person with valuable executive experience who *SHOULD* be afforded the opportunity to campaign. I certainly wouldn’t summarily write her off just yet.

And that is not a fact! It is at best an opinion...as I stated in my original reply to your post. I did not contend the fact of Mrs. Palin's "quitting".
We try really hard not to "pretend" here as it serves no purpose. Folks on here do tend to be "purpose" oriented.

She can talk about the legal issues but folks' eyes will glaze over. And, if she does go that route then she will be asked...
"But, Mrs. Palin, when Bill O'reilly asked you about quitting you said nothing about these legal issues - you said that you would be a lame-duck and the people of Alaska deserve better. So, which excuse is the right one?"
Remember, she does not have to satisfy her freep-brigade. She does have to satisfy 65-70 million American voters.
That's not going to happen.
Out of over thirty people all of whom vote in every election, local, State and National, only two are not already strong supporters of Sarah.
Seven of these folks are registered Independent, four are Democrat. The two who (as of this writing) aren't planning on voting for Sarah are 1 Indy and 1 Dem. But Sarah and I have 1.5 years to work on them yet. There's still hope.
Keep the faith, keep up the fight, and never, never, never give in. One fact that never gets any mention in these "Palin discussions" is that, with God, all things are possible. And Sarah is with God.
