I agree completely, but I suspect your post will fall on deaf ears. It's also why no public conservative figures will touch this website with a ten foot pole anymore.
Good morning..just skimming the thread..your comment is spot on..and it’s gonna get much worse.
It’s also why no public conservative figures will touch this website with a ten foot pole anymore.

I guess we need the pic of THE KISS posted agian
I agree with ken5050 as well, but as you can see even this thread has turned into a Mormon-bash. Being Catholic, I disagree with the Mormon faith, but my opposition to Romney doesn't stem from his theology. He was my governor, and imposed his own form of Obamacare upon us. Surely, there's plenty of objective evidence of his unsuitability for the Presidency to be found in his record in Massachusetts alone. No need to alienate all LDS in the process.
FR has squandered its potential as an organization with real political clout (remember when Bob Barr was a member? Lucianne Goldberg? Matt Drudge?) because bigots of various stripes have been permitted to run wild, swamping principled political (and religious) discussion. It's self-reinforcing, as those who would like to keep things civil and well-reasoned leave for greener pastures, which causes the net concentration of screwballs to increase.
The Religion Forum has been a never-ending Catholic-bash for over a decade. Obviously, attacks on one's most intimate relationship, that of the individual with God as he understands Him, are the mostly likely to cause bruised feelings, emotional rather than intellectual responses, and flame wars. The potential of the Religion Forum was to bring together people of a common conservative political outlook, but from different faith traditions, into a solidarity of mutual cooperation and understanding. Re-fighting the Thirty Years War is a very effective means of squandering that opportunity as well.
I don't see things improving unless JR directs the mods to put a stop to this pointless bickering, and restore some sanity to this place. Until that happens, FR will be useful primarily as a news aggregator rather than a discussion forum or means of political influence or of organizing activism.
So it is your theory that public figures are now too scared to deal with the truth?
