Hale was a good man, died young, brave...and American. A Yale graduate, back in the day when Yale and Harvard didn’t turn out traitors and subversives who hated their own Country.

But didn’t Patton say something to the effect of “No dumb b*stard ever won a war by dying for his country; he won it by making the OTHER dumb b*stard die for HIS country...”

Or in our current, modern case, his ideology...

I think I prefer Patton’s take on it. As a matter of fact, I’ll take it as Gospel.
