Should the American Flag be Banned -- in America?
No. This is a lame decision. Teach the kids what the flag means, instead of banning it.
Yes. The safety of students comes first.
Not sure, but of all things to ban, the American flag would seem the least 'incendiary.'

I remember making an Easter basket in school for my mom in art class in 1988.
One one side I painted a map of the U.S.. On the other side was an American flag.
1) I doubt they even allow Easter to even be spoken of in schools.
2) Apparently the flag would be seen as “provocative” today.
Teacher: Hey Kid you can't have an American flag here at school it might offend someone
Kid: We are going to burn it!
Teacher: Oh OK freedom of expression is allowed
I’d vote for giving a one way bus ticket to everyone that is “provoked”, bothered, or offended by the “American” flag.
If we want to ban anything, let’s ban “Mexicans”. They are the ones on the wrong side of the border. Immigration means you come here and become “American”. They are invaders, not immigrants.
Let’s be honest... This is the dumbest poll I think I’ve ever seen.*
*Polls on cnn, msnbc, politico, and mother jones not included.
More stupid political correctiveness. (sp)
...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn’t an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag ... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language ... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.” Theodore Roosevelt
