Daniels Endorses Lugar for Senate Bid
Sunday, March 13, 2011 02:01 PM
By: Hiram Reisner

Indiana GOP Gov. Mitch Daniels says he will support Sen. Dick Lugar, R-Ind., in his reelection bid, despite some tea party activists’ efforts, who say the senator’s time has passed, Politico reports.

“I’m for Dick Lugar,” Daniels Sunday said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “He is the role model I’ve had.

“Folks in Indiana know I am for him, and admire him, and if he wants another term, he ought to have it,” Daniels said.

And Rush yammered on and on with stupid comments on Monday. Completely misrepresenting what Daniels has done and said. Callers tried to make him see straight on him and failed.

It's no secret Rush is a bit of a Palin-Bot, she acts the most like Reagan but unlike Reagan she would get clobbered by Bammy. Not becuase I want it to be so, just is. 40 percent approval won't do it, and that is her ceiling. She is a Dan Qualye punchline at this point and guys like Rush and the Bots here have to let it go, she maybe a terrrific gal, solid Chrisitian but being POTUS is not in the cards for her. I hope Herman Cain gets some traction, he's more eloquent than Palin, a thicker resume and knows how to debate being a talk show host and public speaker.

Five illegals were arrested outside his office for protesting this bill.

They are awaiting deportation proceedings.

Just as shockingly, he shepherded through the most strict abortion laws of any state in the union, decertified state employee unions and told a federal judge (who had ordered the State to stop opening each session of the legislature with a Christian prayer) to shove it. He’s a RINO alright. What this country needs is a strong social conservative, like that guy on Fox who wears double knit suits and plays the bass guitar.

Liberals can protest the Super Bowl all they want. Not everybody in America cares about football.

I have a problem recalling who that other great former governor was that passed immigration reform, maybe it was an order, just before he left office.

Voting should be for one day and one day only.

Sorry, I have to disagree with you. I travel quite a bit and last November I was in Korea during election. I voted absentee before I left. I wouldn't mind showing up in person at a local courthouse and showing picture ID to vote, but not everyone can always be there on the first Tuesday in November. Some of us are required to travel. We shouldn't have to forfeit our voting rights because of this.

I didn’t realize that either Sara or
the Donald could sign a US House Bill. I also don’t think Sara had an immigration bill put on her desk to sign while she was governor.

I don’t know why Mr. Cain didn’t sign the bill.

Google on the term: "Mitch Daniels bff With Dick Lugar's Primary Challenger?"

It seems that Governor Daniels has maintained a public respect for Senator Lugar while insuring that he is challenged by someone who will actually beat him in the primary.

there is absentee voting

It has been proven time and time ago that early voting lets others vote often.

The only way to stop this is to stop early voting, we have a system ion place which lets people who travel to vote and that is absentee.

Look at my state, McCain won this state on the night 53% to 47% and yet with early voting he lost.
When a GA investigation was done they found that many over a 100,000 from just GA and OH had voted in our state and had done so many times .
That was just two states and there is no way obama won this state fairly.

Take away early voting and have photo ID’s

Heck, I live in a border state and we can’t even get our elected officials to pass an anti-illegal bill.

Wonder who he will support between his old protege Dick Lugar and the the tea party guy?

He'll probably stay neutral like he did in the Dan Coats vs Marlin Stutzman et al Senate primary.

"Conservative" Mike Pence, on the other hand, endorsed Coats!

How about a link to where he was demanding the bill his first year in office. That are all the firebrand speeches he made supporting Arizona.

He’s been on my radar since that National Review article a year or so ago. What I’ve been waiting for is a solid stance on this, one of the three most important issues facing the country (abortion and spending be the other two), and I just got it.

I’m in Daniels’ corner!
