Osama bin Laden Killed by US, Part II - The President's Speech
Below the Gnat Line ^ | May 2, 2011 | Ken Carroll

Osama bin Laden was a murderous thug who had no respect for the rights of individuals and openly opposed, in the bloodiest manner, those who wished to uphold those same rights. Bin Laden followed Islam's lengthy tradition of turning to violence almost immediately to gain power and influence.

Tonight, President Obama made a point of reminding people that many of the people bin Laden murdered were his fellow Muslims and that "his demise should be welcomed by all". The President is correct in this regard.

This was probably the best speech ever given by President Obama. Whoever wrote this speech is underpaid. Obama hit many of the right notes in his speech tonight. It would have been a better speech if he had mentioned former President George Bush's efforts to bring bin Laden to justice.

I gotta agree. There was a moment where it seemed that he was taking credit, but in the end he gave credit where credit is due.

the speech sucked. The symbolism of the speech sucked. He did not address the nation form the oval office nor did he address the nation under the seal of the POTUS. There were no flags in the background. The entire screen was filled with Obama. Not with symbols of the nation. the speech itself was barf worthy. The forst 28 secs was good. then Obama talked to us like he was a professor giving us a history lesson. He only mentioned Bush when he was talking about the us not being at war with Islam.

bush had more emotion reading My pet goat than Obama had delivering this speech.

If he hadn’t interjected the stuff about himself being the one to make this a priority, and shown a little humility, it would have been a great speech. To quote Toby Keith, when the One talks it is ‘I wanna talk about me....’

“There were no flags in the background. The entire screen was filled with Obama. Not with symbols of the nation...”

Don’t think for one instant that THIS was inadvertant. The “O” stand alone speech was certainly meant to disassociate him and his statements from ANY direct, formal connection to the United States of America!!!

This stupid SOB can’t do anything right.

All of it staged and planned to deflect attention from the forgery claims surfacing in respect to his COLB. The entire week was planned. Birth Certificate Wed, Bin Laden on the weekend.

Living in a mansion in a city of over 80,000 people, they have known for probably at least 4 months where he was. They were waiting for the right moment to kill him.

And you know this arrogant clown loved stiffing Trump, interrupting the final 12 minutes of his show, before the “you're fired” moment.

35 minutes later he emerges to read the teleprompter. In that 35 minutes, the constant message Bush failed Obama succeeded. NBC even ran the announcement at the bottom of the screen to reinforce Obama as the great soldier.

President Obama:US Conducted plan
That Killed Bin Laden

You skip over the US and your mind sees the message President Obama conducted plan that killed Bin Laden.

All of it staged for maximum effect, even the time they decided to take him out.

And he finally, since January 2009 correctly uttered the phrase from the pledge of allegiance:

“One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all”.

I leaned forward when I heard it and actually had to replay it to make sure I wasn’t having a stroke and hearing something that wasn’t there.

Finally.

Did he really not credit President Bush, at all? Did he really leave President Bush out of his speech. I am sorry to ask, but I truly cannot watch him, he literally makes me cringe, his voice is like a siren warning to me.

But if he did not have the dignity to credit President Bush and the entire military teams that have sought out that terrorist pig, then, imo, uhbama is the most selfish, creepiest president we have ever had.

Even Reagan had the dignity to involve Carter the hostage release.

I hate uhbama. He is a graceless hog.

Dude is a self serving pig who did what Clinton failed to do on three occasions because “I didn’t have anything to charge him with”.
